For those who think it is a crime to want to work to support your family, you can call most of us illegals. We would all do it. For those of you who think they are inferior, or want to receive government benefits, you don't know any personally. Once again, President Bush has done more for America that any President before him. Most immigrants are honorable, conservative, family loving individuals who deserve that same opportunities our ancestors had. For those hateful, xenophobic, individuals who are willing to support Dean because of this one issue "Good Riddance"!

The legal ones, maybe. You obviously don't live in an area that has been flooded with illegals. They are not honorable, (crime has increased tremendously since they began to invade. Bars went up on doors and windows. Graffiti and abandoned shopping carts are everywhere. Just about everyone I know has had their cars stolen or vandalized. Trust me. You would NOT want your wife, daughter, sister, or mother to walk or even drive through an illegal alien neighborhood.)

Conservative? HA! Not judging by the amount collecting welfare, WIC, food stamps, etc. Besides, conservatives believe in obeying the law.

Family loving??? Is that why so many Mexican men abandon their wives and children? They're not all sending money home, either. On the contrary, many leave their wives and kids to starve in Mexico, while they take up with a new woman and start fathering anchor babies here in the states.

What a slap in the face to the legal immigrants of the past, who truly were honorable, conservative and family loving, to compare them to the lawless leeches who are invading now.

*Illegals* will never, ever, have the same opportunities our ancestors had. You say immigrants deserve the same opportunities, and that may be true, but it is also true we don't have an unlimited supply of resources. It's getting harder for everybody.

I don't have a problem with controlled immigration, but will not vote for any politician - and that includes President Bush - that cannot understand that immigration must be controlled. All Bush has said with this "proposal for immigration reform" is: "come one come all." It was done for the benefit of the rich and corrupt in both Mexico and America, and that in itself makes me furious.

I'm not "hateful" yet, nor would I ever consider voting *for* a Democrat. I am not a one issue person, either. But like most people, I do have issues near and dear to me.

The object of the exercise is to regain control of our borders ! Yes most immigrants are wanting nothing more than the chance to improve thier lot in life ,BUT at the present time what we have is inexcusable we have absolutely no idea who is coming across our borders or what there intentions are,whether they are healthy or ill ,skilled or unskilled , criminals,lunatics,or degenerates. The need to get control of the borders so that controlled immigration can take place is one of the things that defines a nation as a nation. Unconditional surrender is not an option . Claiming that the folks coming across the U.S.-Mexican border is a unstoppable force in history is clap trap. To paint with the broad brush & accuse those who want to get control of the borders so as to get controlled legal orderly immigration into this country as "xenophobic ,racist ,sexist,facist add your favorite ad-hominem attack from the DNC phrase book here " is an insult to the intelligence of the people who not only disagree with you but also those that agree .
