*Illegals* will never, ever, have the same opportunities our ancestors had. You say
immigrants deserve the same opportunities, and that may be true, but it is also true we don't have an unlimited supply of resources. It's getting harder for everybody.
I don't have a problem with controlled immigration, but will not vote for any politician - and that includes President Bush - that cannot understand that immigration must be controlled. All Bush has said with this "proposal for immigration reform" is: "come one come all." It was done for the benefit of the rich and corrupt in both Mexico and America, and that in itself makes me furious.
I'm not "hateful" yet, nor would I ever consider voting *for* a Democrat. I am not a one issue person, either. But like most people, I do have issues near and dear to me.

The Scranton area is becoming saturated with illegals all of a sudden. I just can't believe what I'm seeing. They're working in all the restaurants and wherever. Matter of fact, I remember seeing a thread on this forum that one of the local manufacturers was raided before Christmas and there MANY illegals there..What do they do with them--get them their cards..these people work dirt cheap. Hate to say this, when I see them in the pizza restaurants, it's like they've hired their entire family, and they speak both spanish and english, but when they don't want you to know what they're saying, you guessed it. Honestly, I've stopped patronizing this excellent pizza restaurant due to this. This area wasn't like this a year ago, and all of a sudden, it's like the dyke's opened..and from Bush comments, MORE will be coming here...However, I hear that a Sister Adrian has a lot to do with this from the Friends of the Poor...This area isn't going to be the same, that's for sure.
