Free Republic is an online story and discussion site similar to Kuro5hin.org, but with an explicitly conservative bias. The site proclaims itself to be "an online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web." Intrigued, I proceeded to offer some comments to stories there, addressing some factual errors and dissenting with some conservative views. The result was a quick lesson in the right-wing view of free expression. The experiment left an open question - where do you go on the web to engage conservatives in open debate?

So, where are people supposed to go to have a substantive debate of the facts?

I know its possible to ban IP#s...why dont we just do that, instead of another list of "here are the names this guy is using from this IP#"
what purpose does it serve, other than the self satisfaction of some folks being able to type "zot"
isn't the joke old yet? the flames aren't even that good in these threads.

I wonder if these are just lame attempts to get people to look at that kuro website. I remember the same thing, in a longer zotted post.
I still haven't taken a look at what that is, I'm guessing some stupid liberal site? (I know, thats redundant)

How about these facts:
1. Any opposing viewpoint to suppressed.
2. Those suppressing these viewpoint apparently claim to be conservative.

We have discovered over time that you folks don't actually have any facts and don't care what your portray as a fact. You folks rely on emotion rather than logic. You should go try to have a substantive debate about your feelings now.

Look in the mirror!
I think you could have a reasonably intelligent conversation with yourself if you try. Just take a dictionary to the mirror with you to help you with the big words. Problem solved!
