Rush seems to be angry at Vincente Fox because he expects Bush to change Americas laws to accommodate millions Mexicans unwilling to work in their own country rather than take responsibility to improve the Mexican economy job production.

"What is that GIANT SUCKING SOUND? Oh, it's RUSH sucking up to the Bush administration! What a PATHETIC whimp-out after yesterday's wonderful anti-illegal speech. RUSH! I AM ASHAMED of you!" Let me see if I understand your logic, here.
You approved of the giant sucking sound you heard yesterday, because you thought Rush was carrying the water for your agenda (ie: sucking up to you).
You are ashamed of Rush today because you don't approve of him if you don't perceive him to be sucking up to you.
Am I missing something? I didn't think so.
The funny part is, between yesterday and today, he hasn't changed his thinking one iota. Hahahahaha

Limbaugh is drinking the Kool-Aid now with the false choice premise: either amnesty comes slow under Bush or fast under a Democrat.
The choice should be between no amnesty ever and any amnesty at all.
Look forward to the Bots hereabouts making this their banner call: "If we don't do it, why, those darn DemonRats will. Gosh, Rove is just brilliant".
False choice, False premise.

Those sneaky "I"talians and the dirty Irishman
...who numbered about 1/20th of the immigration now upon us. In 100 years of legal immigration, some 4 million Irishmen made the trip, and some 6 million Italians. And a lot went back home!
The Latinos already outnumber both groups, and the African-American natives besides. We are going to be looking at about the same odds as the besieged at the Alamo!
Oye, favor de pasarme la salsa, amigo.

Yep, I see quite clearly..
those who dont agree with you are illogical right?

Rush is new to the illegal immigration debate. For years he has been maintaining that it was just another free market factor.

Well, hopefully, She will be unseated in 2006 and that will make it that much more difficult for her in 2008. Come on Giuliani!!. I don't know why that would affect who would be the Republican running for President though. I don't think we will ever have the perfect candidate. Though I do see a shift out there and the dems are making fools out of themselves. Unfortunately, there aren't many Ronald Reagans out there :)

"those who dont agree with you are illogical right? " In #114, I asked you not to read any further if a certain thing was true. I see you insisted on reading further, and proved me right.
Now you need to go back and re-read what I wrote, and hopefully this time you will see that a personality (me) has absolutely nothing to do with the issue (whether the proposition is logical or illogical).

Frankly I am sick of Rush. No doubt there are freepers will not be amused but I still remember how he supported Buchanan against the first President Bush.
Not conservative enough, you know!!! We paid a terrible price for that misguided constant criticism of Bush. He put callers on day in and day out proclaiming they wouldn't vote for Bush. They loved Buchanan, blah blah blah.
By the time all the damage was done, there was no turning back.

Rush remarked to day that while Reagan did allow amnesty, he didn't do so much domestic spending as this President Bush is doing.
That is totally untrue. The number is somewhere around $3 spent on programs for every $1 of income to the treasury. Reagan gave up that money in exchange for military spending.
Reagan also taxed corporations to the tune of about $200,000,000 to 'pay'for his lowering the marginal rates.
All this revisionist history as an excuse for bashing this President Bush is intellectually dishonest.

"For years he has been maintaining that it was just another free market factor." I listen every day, (almost from the beginning) so I know what he has been "maintaining" on this an every other subject he is interested enough in to talk about.
Whether you're right or wrong, since you made that statement as if it is a fact, to be fair, you should provide exact quotes and dates.

"I still remember how he supported Buchanan against the first President Bush." Unfortunately for you and the agenda you're promoting, I have all the tapes of his programs back then.
His specific contention in those days was that Buchanan had gone off the conservative reservation long ago.
Save your breath.

Illegal aliens contribute about as much to the public coffers in taxes as they receive in benefits. I have some sea-front property in Austin I'd like to sell you.
This bald asertion of yours borders on idiocy. Numerous studies have shown that illegals are a net tax drain, with their consumption of tax dollars VASTLY exceeding any contributions they make. If you believe this fairy tale, hows about picking up the excess costs of ONE illegal family in Texas? As a contribution to FR ? Or even to Jorge ?

Show me your link to this research please. Another thought to ponder. };O)
Do you know the contribution of immigrants to the world war II effort and history. Albert Einstein and his little Atomic Bomb, Welding Technology (we a stole two of these scientist from a German prison camp in France) that was required to build our war machine, A. Edward Teller the Manhattan project, B. Enrico Fermi he was instrumental in creating the first controlled nuclear fission chain reaction, A. Felix Frankfurter he served on the Supreme Court of the U.S. for 23 years, B. Andrew Carnegie eventually controlling 25% of American iron and steel production, C. Thomas Mann was one of the most acclaimed novelists of the 20th Century, ect...

Rush has been taken to task on this issue over the years because he just has never gotten excited over it. In fact, he maintained that it was the sign of a healthy economy. No kiddin'.
I have also had direct words with him on his stand on election fraud. He maintains that the antidote to vote fraud is "High Turnout." Kudos to Rush in many areas, especially for making conservatism understandable and open to many people, but I don't expect him to agree with me on everything, nor I with him.
I am overjoyed that he is paying attention to illegal immigration now. That's good enough for me.
To: BushCountry
There is no question about the contributions of immigrants to America. We're ALL immigrants (maybe several times removed) if we're not native Americans.
That's not the point.
Perhaps you need to visit an emergency room in one of the hospitals here along the border.
Or have you missed the numerous links and articles posted here on this subject?

BTW, I'll gladly spend the time to find the "research" specifically for you, as soon as you agree that the net differential between one family's worth of yearly illegals' tax payments versus yearly illegals' tax consumption will be donated by you to FR.
Unlike many illegals, my family isn't tax supported so I need recompense for efforts expended. And indirect recompense that benefits FR will be fine.
