The Democrats must be melancholy with this ruling; however, they have a "Republican" ace in their hole: Sandra Day O'Connor.

Big grin on my face! Thanks for the ping. I bet Chet Edwards is wetting his pants about now. He thought the race card would work. He's been screaming that the newly redrawn Waco/Temple/Killeen district would disenfranchise minority voters. What he really meant was he doesn't stand a prayer in hell of being re-elected in the new district. I wrote him a while back and asked how anybody would be disenfranchised since everybody will still be allowed to vote. They just won't all be bunched together for him anymore.

The Dallas Morning Snews, the San Antonio Express, the Houston Chomicle, the Austin UnAmerican Statesmen, the Fort Worthless "Res Star" Telegram and the Corpus Christi "Ca-Ca" Times editorial boards are deeply saddend.

Eat it liberals!

Man! This is what we have hoped for! If this redistricting stands up for good--and it looks like it will-- we will get rid of some real pond scum in the next election!!!

This all makes for "great entertainment" during the next elections.
Stay tuned.../sarcasm

Sorry, but to me today's politics is nothing more than that anymore...great entertainment. (and many times it isn't "great" at all and is merely entertainment)
Like a sitcom that should've been canceled years ago but somebody went nostalgic and just couldn't cancel the show.
