Big grin on my face! Thanks for the ping. I bet Chet Edwards is wetting his pants about now. He thought the race card would work. He's been screaming that the newly redrawn Waco/Temple/Killeen district would disenfranchise minority voters. What he really meant was he doesn't stand a prayer in hell of being re-elected in the new district. I wrote him a while back and asked how anybody would be disenfranchised since everybody will still be allowed to vote. They just won't all be bunched together for him anymore. Lets hope so. I'd really hate being stuck with that Rat as my CongressCritter for the foreseeable future.

Perry took over as Gov. after Bush won in 2000, but he did have to run for election in his own right in 2002. He won overwhelmingly.

Any chance this means we can get rid of Queen Shelia Jackson-Lee?
Not unless another minority from her district oust her. She has drawn no competition yet. It's a minority set aside district.... VRA you know

God bless the Texas Republicans and Rick Perry!!! This is great news. Seven more TEXAS, conservative, RINO-busin' Republicans in the House. What could be better?

Between this and the sacking of the UT defensive coordinator, you've been getting some good Texas news.

Great news! Was the decision unanimous? BTW, which Federal Appeals Court was it? Any talk of appeals to the USSC?
To: deport
Thanks..
Do you have any known conservatives just waiting for this decision to run in these new districts?

Republicans have:
Every statewide office.
Both the State house and Senate.
The state Supreme court.
Both US Senate seats.
The electoral votes from the last presidential election (not to mention the presidency itself).
IIRC, they had 60% of all votes cast for the US House races.
But they were down 17-15 before that Democrat switched a couple of days ago.

But the fight isn't over. Just watch while the libs start judge-shopping for a restraining order. Only the CircuitCourt of Appeals can issue restraining order in this case, and that is not going to happen.

Me too, seems like he's been entrenched forever. Besides, Ft. Hood deserves better representation and Bush shouldn't have to live in a district with Chet as a representative.

Don't count your chickens yet. We need to make double sure the Democrat Party has no chance of EVER comming back.
