Good grief. Texas has 1,607 registered Freepers and only 33 of them have donated?
That doesn't include the monthlies which there are 52 of those...... The 33 are for this quarter and non monthly....

No he was elected in the last statewide election in 2002. He has two years remaining on his current term.

Actually it seems that we've eliminated most of the WHite Democrats.... Hmmm interesting.
Yep.... the VRA makes for strange outcomes after a while.... The set asides slowly are becoming the only democrat districts in Texas.... That was part of their complaint this time..... They were being transferred to white republicans who couldn't properly represent them... sad.....

"By judicial fiat, a three-judge federal panel has effectively repealed the Voting Rights Act and turned back the clock on nearly 40 years of progress for minority voters," said U.S. Rep. Martin Frost, D-Dallas.To Marty: You should put some ice on that.

Thanks for the info. So I wonder when they are taking up that case ?? (PA) ...

I would also like to see Martin Frost be censured by the Ethics Committee for sending staff to Texas. Tom Delay did nothing wrong as everything was through his leadership PAC.

I'd say it was 2-1. There were two Republican appointees and one Clinton appointee. Well, we're both right, kind of. See deport's #129 ...

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I can't tell y'all how pleased I am with this. In 1966 at 16 I started working with Republicans in Texas. At the time we had Senator Tower and a Congressman in the panhandle. Tower won reelection that year and George Bush won in the 7th Congressional district.
My how things have changed .... now if we could only dump the rino element! ;-) Well we will work on that tomorrow ......
To: sinkspur
I'm not sure Bush, with all the "buddies" he'd made in the Democrat legislature, would have forced three special sessions, Well I doubt Saddam would agree with you ........

They have it under considertion now.... When the final ruling comes I don't know but it could be shortly....
Dog Gone may have some other info.

LOL. I see that. It was 2-1/2 to 1/2. LOL.
Seems that Justice Ward wanted to keep things status quo through this election and then..... couldn't quite figure out the rest. Seems that he was trying to placate his Democrat cohorts but yet, trying to follow the law.

Are you all talking about the Supreme Court??? If so I just heard the Democrats attorney on TV say that he would appeal to the Supremes before end of week and expected a decision sometime next week. That's awfully fast.

At the time we had Senator Tower and a Congressman in the panhandle. Yup and as I used to like to put it we had our conventions in a telephone booth!
