I'm sorry, I don't understand... how does any of that indicate that this particular author is insincere? It seems to me that, to him, Bush = hope for freedom in his home country in a manner similar to Afghanistan or Iraq. What reason is there to believe otherwise?

I never suggested the author was anything but very sincere-- all too sincere. He does not care about socialism and merely supports the GOP because he is looking for a security welfare handout for his home area.
I suggested that he is a phony, which in the context of the article, implied phony Republican-- and I stated my point that I did not feel any relief about the authors context for supporting the liberal agenda of internationalism.
