- The United States Constitution (c) 1791. All Rights reserved.
- Personal firearms: The original point and click interface.
- An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
- A gun in the hand is better than a dispatcher on the phone.
- Gun control is not about guns; it's about control.
- If guns are outlawed, can we use crossbows? ...how about swords, clubs or icepics?
- If guns cause crime, then pencils cause misspelled words.
- Free men do not ask permission to bear arms.
- If you don't know your rights you don't have any.
- If government cannot trust its citizens with firearms, government cannot be trusted.
- Those who trade liberty for security end up losing both.
- What part of "shall not be infringed" do you not understand?
- The Second Amendment is in place in case they ignore all of the others.
- Approximately 79,999,977 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.
- Guns only have two enemies: rust and totalitarians.
- Know guns...know peace, know safety.
- No guns...no peace, no safety.
- You don't shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive.
- Assault is a behavior, not a device.
- Criminals love gun control -- it makes their jobs safer.
- If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson.
- Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to disarm them.
- You only have the rights you are willing to fight and die for.
- The American Revolution would never have happened if gun control were in place.
- If the founding fathers of America were alive today, in all likelihood they would have already rebelled against curretn gun control laws.

"This is worth repeating"
So is this though I can't remember the source:
"A pacifist is a person who survives on the sins of others"

"To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death.
How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness. How unnatural. How cheap. How cowardly. How pathetic."

I'm all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools. Let's start with typewriters.

There are hundreds and hundreds of great, short and direct quotes...but I really like the one about the typewriters to throw at the liberal/marxists.
To: Eaker
Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must like men undergo the fatigues of supporting it.
-- Thomas Paine September 12,1717

"And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms ... The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants," Thomas Jefferson.
To: Eaker
"Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense? Where is the difference between having our arms in possession and under our direction, and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands?"- Patrick Henry

Good list, Jeff.

You are exactly right my friend.
We will have to depend on God in Heaven to help us to somehow arm (or to effectually be their arms) those innocents who, save for their own mothers, are incapable of self-defense and are being slaughtered by the millions based on the misbegotten decisions (in 99.99% of the cases) of the very ones who should be defending them.

Pacifists are the parasites of freedom.
To: newgeezer
newgeezer said: "Agreed. Still, even "assault weapons" are no match for the stuff the jack-booted thugs have at their disposal."
Prior to the American Revolution, the colonists tarred and feathered those who were tempted to distibute the hated tax stamps of the Stamp Act. They did not attempt to take on the Regular Army. That did not take place until the overt use of government troops to deprive the militia in the area surrounding Boston of their arms.
The rest is, as they say, history.
There will never be enough JBTs to do every job which the government must do to maintain its legitimacy.
To: Jeff Head
When I can't reach my gun(s), I keep this handy!
My grandfather would make these from tree branches in upper Oregon. He'd added the spikes and varnished it!
