NEW YORK, Jan. 5 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today said it was deeply troubled that MoveOn.org had allowed an outrageous and highly offensive political ad that directly compared President George W. Bush to Adolf Hitler to be posted on its Web site.
Abraham H. Foxman, ADL national director and author of "Never Again: The Threat of the New Anti-Semitism," issued the following statement:
It is shocking that a mainstream political group like MoveOn.org not only allowed this vile and outrageous comparison of the American President to Adolf Hitler to be entered into its "Bush in 30 Seconds" contest in the first place, but that they even went so far as to make it available to the public on the Internet. Those responsible for this contest at MoveOn.org should have immediately identified this advertisement as one going far beyond beyond legitimate criticism and rejected it out of hand. Instead, they made an irresponsible decision that has given legitimacy to the explotative manipulation of images in a campaign season.
MoveOn.org clearly would not have accepted a pornographic ad as legitimate criticism of a candidate. Why did they think that images of Hitler, the Nazi whose evil regime was responsible for the slaughter of millions of people during the Holocaust, was a fitting and credible expression of criticism of President Bush and his policies? Their lack of descretion cheapens the level of political discourse in America, and their comments explaining it were hardly comforting.
The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.

Great find.
Connect Howard Dean's Candidacy to the Hitler/Bush Video in two moves:
Dean accepts Moveon.org money.
Moveon.org produced the Hitler/Bush Video.

Apparently ADL hasn't been on the website DU. They have been calling Bush - Hitler and all conservatives facists and Nazis for a long about a year now. DU and Move-On are the same trash! Well, it won't be for the lack of someone to point it out to them. I wrote them a letter well over a year ago to draw their attention to the things that appear at DU. They never wrote me back.
But I am glad they are taking a stand on this. It should put the lefties in a bit of a quandary. Soros is backing MoveOn with mega bucks. Clark had some affiliation with MoveOn did he not? Fundraising scheme from Canada or something like that?
The perfect scenario now would take place at the next democratic debate. Joe Lieberman is a Jew. The obvious question would be directed to him to get his views on this issue now that the ADL has spoken up on it. Then to Clark and Dean- same question.
It's a no-loser. If they support the ad, they compromise their chances with the Jewish vote in places like New York. If they denounce it they effectively denounce MoveOn and Soros and any association with that group would be damning. Lieberman could play the racial card if Dean and Clark disagreed with him in denouncing the advert.

It is now obvious that the MoveOn group is designed to say those things that the Rats cannot get away with saying. No matter how hateful, or tin-foilish, they will dump it into the public discourse.
This will be the most poisonous presidential campaign within living memory. "Bush is Hitler, he stole the election, war for oil, drunken frat cowboy, yada yada." It is going to be a long year.

Who the hell cares? Shows them for the idiots they are. The majority of people in this country don't have a clue as to what Moveon.org is. This is providing them with more publicity is all.

MoveOn.org now has as its main focus of attention this issue:
what will make George Soros happy. If George Soros is happy, he will write another check.
The explaination for the Hitler ad is as simple as this: it is what Geroge Soros is thinking about President Bush. Hasn't he himself made thinly veiled attempts to link Bush to Hitler in recent interviews?

Exactly right. Soros is the source.

I'm sick of this crap. I just wrote a letter to Abe Foxman requesting a personal audience to demonstrate to him that the ADL is a de facto political ally of Jew-killers.

I don't like it when anyone on our side uses a Nazi analogy to the other side. If people today are called Nazis, what word is left to adequately describe Hitler and his followers --- supernazis? In sports, we used to understand the term "star." Then, they had to go to superstar. From there, it became true superstar.

How hard or easy is it to compare the political philosophies and/or actions/achievements/beliefs of Stalin/Mao/Castro/Pol Pot with some of today's leftist pols such as the Clintons/Howard Dean/Charlie Rangel et al?
