""God told me that Jesus was a registered Democrat and that I will beat George Bush in a blowout next year."
Where was the above quote taken from? I googled it and could not find any matches?

I think it was John F. Kerry who just discovered his "Jewish" heritage. Didn't he mention Jewish grandparents? Or, it could have been Wesley Clark. It's not easy keeping track of these Bozos!

"...Coulda happened to anyone" ... who is patently false about their religious convictions, yet deceitful and arrogant enough to try to wing it when it comes to scripture.

Sorry, I didn't want to state the obvious!

Sure he's for taxes. It's Ceasar's money, so give it to him.
If here were against taxes, he would have railed against those too. But he didn't. Heck, he was going to die, so surely if he was against them he would have made it an issue also.

**could it be he wants to believe a lie and be damned?**
He's sounding more and more like Gore isn't he?

He was just confusing the Old and New Testaments ....coulda happened to anyone Sure, any knowledgeable, committed Christian would confuse the book of Job with all those other books by Paul, John and Luke.

"...Coulda happened to anyone" ... who is patently false about their religious convictions, yet deceitful and arrogant enough to try to wing it when it comes to scripture. Or thinks that God gave them the Bible to use anything out of context as long as it suits their own selfish political ambitions.
Dean clearly thinks Christians are stupid and don't know the Bible.

Sure, any knowledgeable, committed Christian would confuse the book of Job with all those other books by Paul, John and Luke . . . and Ringo.

Howard Dean quotes Christ as saying on taxes, "Give to God what is God's, but give to Caesar the things that are Caesar's". Yep, got it backwards, just like Algore, who observes that "E Pluribus Unum" means `out of one, many'.
Catch that Democratic Scriptural collectivism!

Job was a patriach, not a prophet or disciple.

Jesus was for taxes? Where did you get that?
Jesus was for paying what taxes you owe. I think 98% of conservatives agree with that, even if reluctantly.

Sure, any knowledgeable, committed Christian would confuse the book of Job with all those other books by Paul, John and Luke . . . and Ringo. Now that would be funny. I wonder if anyone could make a list of apostles and include names like Ringo and see if Rev. Dean can pick out the real ones.
To: heavenbound
In that case, I pray for his success.

Maybe Dean mistook Job for Fritz Mondale.
