After watching Steve Irwin many times I suspect the child would be in more danger of choking on his breakfast than coming to harm in his father's arms around a croc.

This may be a bit of a stretch, but I'm sure you get my point.

Don't really "get" your point, just hope you don't take that attitude with YOUR children, if you have any.

I think we should all stand back and get the real point here...Steve wants his son to be without fear...and its his parental right to do so. The picture probably shouldn't have been published...but it happened. As for being kid in todays world...I would pick Steve Irwin over just about anyone to be my dad. And I would have no doubt that dad kill any croc within three seconds, who threaten my life. Considering the state of teenagers in today's society...we need more Steve Irwins in this world.
