I think we should all stand back and get the real point here...Steve wants his son to be without fear...and its his parental right to do so. The picture probably shouldn't have been published...but it happened. As for being kid in todays world...I would pick Steve Irwin over just about anyone to be my dad. And I would have no doubt that dad kill any croc within three seconds, who threaten my life. Considering the state of teenagers in today's society...we need more Steve Irwins in this world.

I hear a lot of comparisons between Irwin and Jacko, and I think both of them need to be left alone with regards to their kids. At first I was personally appalled at Irwin's actions BUT he said that he lives in crocodile country and wants his children to be familiar with crocs and to have a healthy fear of them.

I agree with your post. Every year we hear of kids in this country getting killed down South because they play near gators.
