Marxist Beats Drum for Saddamite Terrorist Victory
Pacifica Television/Radio - WBAI-TV, Channel 34, Democracy Now! ^ | 12/31/03 | John Pilger

In a year-end interview, top Marxist journalist and filmmaker, John Pilger called for the victory of the Saddamite terrorists, designating them as chief hope of the world.

Said Pilger: "The resistance is incredibly important for all of us. We depnd on it to win so that other countries may not be invaded by American imperialists. Because if they (the Saddamites) lose, the US and others will go on to North Korea where Mr. Cheney is chomping at the bit to invade. The outcome of the resistance is terribly important for the rest of the world. If Bush can suffer defeat in Iraq, they (the imperialists) can be stopped."

Pilger, chief organizer of of the recent leftist anti-Bush demonstrations in London was recently appointed Rhodes Professor at Cornell and is a reporter for the London Daily Mirror and author of anti-American pro-Saddam books and films, among them, "Breaking the Silence - Truth and Lies iin the War on Terror" and Emmy Award-winning "Blood On Their Hands". Both works propigate the charge that the US is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children, a charge cited with anger by Osama Bin Laden in his fatwah for Jihad against America.

The charge that lays the death of 500,000 Iraqi children to an American imperialist embargo has recently been shown to be the blood slander that it is. Documents uncovered in Baghdad reveal the monthly squander of $Billions per week in virtually free oil shipments to Jordan, Syria - even to distant Arab lands such as Egypt and Algeria - subsidies to influence political and public opinion. In addition, $40 Billion was squirreled away in Saddam's Accounts in Swiss Banks and more billions were squandered on Palatial Residence Compounds. And as should have been obvious to any impartial observer, food and medicine of all types - as well as armaments - were freely available through Syria and Jordan, chief beneficiaries of the virtually free Iraqi oil flow.

If the people in Homeland Security want to do something useful, they can put this John Pilger puke on a criminal watchlist and have federal marshals arrest him if he ever sets foot on US soil to collect his honorary commieprof award at Cornell.

"... If Bush can suffer defeat in Iraq, they (the imperialists) can be stopped."

At least he's being honest, unlike most other "progressive" pukes who claim they love America and "support the troops" but just don't like Bush. Nope, here's the naked truth.

Pilger can sure pick a winner, can't he? If I could get him to come to the dog track with me all I'd have to do is bet the other way and I'd clean up.

I guess this shows the political leaning of the leadership at the prestigous Cornell University.

As if anyone need ask.

Yes it's entertaining to poke fun at these nuts, but what does it say for a country where many of it's citizens revere a moral leper like Pilger? Imagine British traitor Lord Haw Haw (William Joyce) having a regular column in a major London daily during WWII. But of course we do have our Chomskys and others.

Mr. Pilger should write musicals. How about one called "Springtime for Saddam"?

Chomsky was interviewed on the same year end roundup. Both he and interviewer Amy Goodman had praise for Pilger. Pacifica and WBAI in general and Amy Goodman and Democracy Now! have voiced support and have offered their broadcast facilities to supporters of Saddam as well as Islamacists from Afghanistan, Yemen and Somolia, to my knowlege.

It means we have a lot of work to do.

(Tom Petty in background [though he's a creep].)

And I won't back down...

Yeah, but that one was supposed to be a satire.
