BTW...I saw on Fox News this morning that Howard Dean opened a campaign office in Florence yesterday.
I have to find out where it is and check out the Deaniacs for myself.
I can't believe he was here and I didn't know it. What a lost opportunity!

It's pretty close to the state line, IIRC.

Where in the world is FLORENCE?I'm assuming you're not being sarcastic...
Florence is at the interesction of I95 and I20 about 40 miles south of the NC/SC border.

Western Sizzlin? Good lord. Y'all should be meeting at the Thunderbird (private meeting room, and the best fried chicken in the country), or, at the very least, at Rogers Barbecue or Apple Annie's.

I wanted some place easy to find for folks drivin' in to the "big city".
The Thunderbird would have worked, but honestly, I have lived here for 8 years and have never eaten there. On your recommendation, I'll make a point of checking it out.

A little off topic but I recently read that Stephen Foster originally used the name Pee Dee River instead of Suwanee.
He decided Suwanee had a better sound to it.

Where in the world is FLORENCE? The junction of I-95 and I-20, about 40 miles south of the state line.
NC FReepers in the Fayetteville and Lumberton areas might be interested.
Thanks for the Ping.

I was just there last week. My sis-in-law lives in Florence and Niece in Hartsville. Nice area but both of them are total trolls politically. Absolute one-issue voters.
ABORTION.
If the devil was running against GWB, they would vote for the devil because they KNOW that Bush's only priority is to get rid of abortion. Totally brainwashed. They think Planned Abortionhood is a good, kind organization, dedicated to telling young girls to have the baby, not have abortions. Yea...suuuuurrrrrreeee!

See yu there at noon. Lieberman was in Florence Tuesday too, at a hospital. My daughter saw Dean's caravan pulling into the Holiday Inn right by I95 exit. I notice the Naacp is giving them all a free pass on the boycott. What a joke.

We'll see how this goes and maybe we can do it again in a month or two.
We haven't had much success attracting freepers to a central meeting in Columbia so I figured I would see how many would be interested in a local lunch-time "meet & greet".
About a month ago some Low Country and Up-State freepers were discussing the same thing.
