I live in the town next to Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. It is listed in the 1994 book titled Price of Honor as a hotbed of Islamic fundamentalism. I can see where middle America can be another area where the war on terror is fought.

Oh my goodness no!! Where oh where are the people concerned for Al Qaeda's civil rights?? John Ashcroft as we all know is hell bent on prying into our private lives and finding out what library books we're reading and what web sites we're looking at!! ...(how) America will fight terrorism... thorough police work on a daily basis, looking for a deadly enemy hiding somewhere in central Illinois. Sure. But with millions of illegal aliens to sift through, it becomes an almost impossible task, especially with our catch-and-release policies.
