Perhaps that explanation, that they are regularly intercepting flights and that this is just another one, could have been some of the background info in your original post. Your Breaking News post doesn't give those kind of clues.

Air France flights have been intercepted and escorted "several times a day" ? and another flight in bound from Mexico as well?
How long has this been going on and is this being reported by any media anywhere? (other than FR that is?)
