If you ask me, we should be informing the whole world that we are actively escorting numerous flights from border crossing to landing. How might this be interpreted as "sinking ships"? To me, it can only help scare off any idiotic fanatic hell-bent on destruction. I was very impressed to realize these intercepts/escorts are taking place. If you listen to the evening news babbling incessantly about "MJ or Kobe" or some other bullcrap piece of news, you might think all we're concerned with are the usual gossip and rumor mongering about various sleazebags - when in fact, behind the scenes, the top news story is our country's high state of readiness for whatever these smelly unshaven towelheads try to throw at us.
Thanks to whomever started this interesting thread!

"I'm in the Cascade Foot Hills, Just above Duvall,"You must have gotten quite a snow fall this weekend.
We got about 3 inches. Last year we had about 1/4 inch one day and that was it for the whole year. :-)

"This IS a good thing to send to any liberal friends you might have... " HEY NOW! What are you trying to say :-)
I consider anyone whose very first post is a link to a Islamic terrorist jihad propaganda website as a troll, I didn't realize that some of us were not getting the same web page. The typical silly chanting in the background by hysterical members of the Religion of Peace calling for the murder of innocence in the name of their false religion, was the reason for me to call for the Viking Kitties to clean up Isle 13 :-)
BTW........ From your tag line I see you're a VET, Thanks for your service my friend, God Bless You,
Mike

Cool, now just imagine where we'd all be if they responded this quickly on 9/11. Damn...either they're coming out of the woodwork today (or I should say tommorrow 12/31/2003) OR...the FR European recruitment wing is working overtime over seas.

I'd think there would be a press release if the military wanted this information public.
"Now, obviously, I will not outline all of the actions that are being taken to protect our citizens. We will not broadcast our plans to the terrorists. But extensive and considerable protections have been or soon will be in place all across the country."

I worked for America West, never as a pilot though! I pushed papers around, took an early retirement after 14 years, got a real paying job, still have flight bennies on AWA though...
As for the Irish, I'll refresh the picture, for some reason, linking to Yahoo photos only works for a short period of time. They are a real handful, I'm doing intensive training on my 2 year old to curb his dog on dog agression, he will walk right up to a Mastiff and try to start a fight, and he only weighs 30 lbs!

N,or somebody, why did they "frog-jump" this guy into port? :)
Night crew, just up and I'm foggy.

When the AF planes land, they are taken to the remote terminal at LAX, and all the passengers and luggage are searched again. Can you imagine seeing F16s and then going through that? haha. IMO all Air France passengers should be given a full cavity search and a then full DECON (with extra foam). Then their luggage should be given the once-over by NYPD detectives. After collecting their luggage and getting dressed, let them pass through normal security.

...let 'em see the war shots under your wings!I saw two 16's on approach to FAT yesterday. They were mounting under-wing tanks on both sides plus what looked to be Slammers and Sidewinders. I bet they get sore behinds with that much fuel to burn up.
Any F-16 drivers out there?
