If you scan through the 500+ posts, it appears we scrambled F-16s to intercepts an AFA flight from CDG to LAX. Freepers were onto it real-time,

Actually, right at post #22 it says this is the usual for the last several days since the Air France flights resumed.

What happened to "Loose lips sink ships"?

This was just tracking an Air France flight that was being escorted into LAX by our military. It was great fun, and no secrets were given away.

Well, this has been an amusing thread! We go from tracking an inbound flight from France being escorted by F-16's to reminiscing about our very first computer :-)

Thanks, I scanned right past that tidbit and got sucked right into the excitement. It was still quite interesting.

Well, I understand the meaning of words and what the implication was of the title and the barest of details from the poster. Then right at #22 he says he's just mentioning that they've been doing it for days for the Air France flights, so it was hardly a case of this flight being special. So while I agree they technically intercepted, in that they didn't escort the thing from Paris, it was not a unique event.

LOL, Don't worry, the Viking Kitties have a pretty good sense of humor, plus they have been very well fed as of late with all the Trolls they have devoured :-)

I've been watching that for a very, very long time. "The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands...to fight the horde, singing and crying...."

Wasn't the hard drive capacity on those original Tandy 2000's something like 100 MB

Hard Drive!!? You were luck if you got a floppy instead of a cassette drive.

I remember the day I bought my first hard drive - 20mb!!! Now I have a 1GB MicroDrive riding around in my PocketPC in my pocket - and it still isn't enough space for me. I'm going to save up for the new 3GB coming soon.
