"DON¹T SHOP DAY" IS CATCHING ON!! COMING TO TV!!
A major TV media outlet will do a story on the January 12th -- "Don¹t Shop Day." They have asked for an interview tomorrow!!! SEE http://tinyurl.com/3h5gn
WE NEED TALK RADIO TO DISCUSS THIS ACTION! We need you to call those talk shows!
Remember these talking points:
WHY?
A. Bush political advisors tell him voters have NO PLACE TO GO to protest his amnesty plans since all the Democrat candidates support amnesty. (See: http://www.washtimes.com/national/20030906-120054-6125r.htm)
HOW?
B. Since they think we have NO PLACE TO GO, we should let them know what they are up to by GOING NO PLACE on January 12, 2004, the first day of Bush¹s visit with Mexican President Fox in Mexico City. In other words, don¹t shop, don't go to movies, etc. Stay at home!
NO ONE IS HURT--
C. This is not a boycott. There will be no real economic damage to anyone, just a demonstration of our ability to protest. It's a win-win situation!
THERE IS NO SPONSOR--
D. While American Patrol is supporting this effort, there is no official sponsor. It is a true grassroots effort.
WHAT AMERICANS ARE SAYING:
Here is just some of the email feedback:
+++++++++++++++++++++ Everyone is really getting the word out. I think it's going to have a big impact. -- Along the same lines I think we should add: Make No Bank Deposits that day. Do not pay any bills (from the 9th-12th), and no online shopping either. -- Sincerely, Shanna in Arizona +++++++++++++++++++++++++ I did a search for historical events for the days between now and Jan.12th when President Bush will meet with President Fox, and the day when hundreds of thousands of Americans will not do ANY shopping. Tomorrow is the anniversary of the Pledge of Allegiance.
Tuesday is the anniversary of the U.S.- Mexico border. Wednesday is the anniversary of the opening of Ellis Island. We will add another day: January 12, 2004 - the American people protested illegal immigration with their pocketbook. Barbara V. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The no shop day on 1/12/04 could stop Bush dead in his amnesty tracks if it catches on, and I very much think it will. My friends and family are spreading the word fast. The media is always writing about the great economic clout of the Latino lobby to make driver's licenses and Latino benefits happen. This could be a demonstration of REAL economic power that could upstage Bush/Fox in Monterrey Mexico on 1/12/04. This Bush-amnesty counter-measure is a brilliant idea. Suddenly we don't have to be observers watching our citizenship, sovereignty, and laws being thrown away. L.B., Riverside, CA ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I wonder if they realize that "no place to go" includes the polls on election day....
Partially correct.
Green card holders send the bulk of their paychecks home, but pay federal and state tax on it.
Once they become nationalized, most of their check stays in the U.S. and again, ALL of that money is taxed.
Try again.
I recommend you forward them to each congressman and senator requesting the courteousy of a reply.
Betcha you will be waiting a long, long time (except maybe from Sentor Kyl or Arizona) for an answer - even a politically correct one.
For the purposes of dealing with or resovling the incredibly neglectd issue of illegal immigration, I fear it will be election year for many, many years to come.
Musn't forget - the number one goal of any polititian is to get REELECTED!
The last real Republican to serve in the White House was Ronald Reagan.
Some of the best thinking I've seen in a long time on the subject of illegal immigration.
Seriesly.
If only we could find someone in office with enough gonads to go with just half of them. . .
You betcha
71 degrees today in December!!!!!And getting ready to party!!
The greatest state of the greatest country on earth
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Most countries, including the US would never give up sovereignty. It would be impossible in the foreseeable future, but interdependencies will develop that will allow for freedom of access across the borders and some sort of legal arrangements for contracts, justice and whatnot.
I would expect no real merger in any sense of the word, but more of a state to state relationship that allows for easy travel, banking and shipping arrangements.
A tax levied on each country would be needed to fund the related expenses.
Probably something like the EU.
The constitution would remain safe, however some amendments to allow for something like this might be needed. I have not really delved into the details of currency etc.
Our need for energy independence and young labor combined with Mexico's need for employment, education and our expertise in other matters will make this union happen eventually.
Freeper Winker's Creed
No Person can be considered a "Contributor" to America un-less they are Identified,fingerprinted, placed on the Tax rolls and Social Security with a permanent Address making them a legal Tax paying Citizen;
subject to all the rights and provisions this Country provides to its citizens. Otherwise they continue to be a scab and a botch "WE THE PEOPLE"are obligated to support.
This is a pay as you go society and not a free lunch. If you live here you work here speak the FIRST Language and swear allegiance to the Constitution then you get to share equally in a system "EVERBODY" Supports and pays into! Time to come out of the woodworks and live in the open or follow your noses back across the Borders!
