I think the Marshals should be armed with those special weapons that can read the fingerprint (fail-safe) of the user-only.

Added protective measure have been taken - visible and invisible. Continue under Orange Alert. Report suspicious activity.
Make family plan, home safety plan. Do not give in to panic. (See above 200+ Freeper comments.)

On second thought, it's probably for exercise in picking out the hidden objects in the pictures.

So what's the man's purpose for having this "speech"?
To: NutCrackerBoy
Sounds like he is asking for our help also in stopping the terrorists

Go forward with your holiday plans, rest assured that Homeland Security is on the job.

Boston's Jay Severin just cut out of the presser. He wants to talk about what's being done to secure cargo planes.

Q. why marshalls, who will pay?
A. Denial of access to airspace can be used to force countries to cooperate.

So The Market agrees - yes, it was a *very* good speech indeed. Just suuuuper....

Thanking people, gov. workers working 24/7 to prevent attacks.
Even planes flying over the country are encouraged to have air marshalls. They've amended flyover rules (in a way I don't completely understand but it sounds like they could be worried about an airborne chemical attack to me).

Mulder: the question isn't meant to be answered Kind of like the questions "when did you stop beating your wife?".
Rather it's a dismissive attempt to smear you before you can even respond.
Exactly. Although I think I might post an answer to that question that would "checkmate" them. Maybe I'll do it later, just to see the responses.
There was a time when a thread such as this one would be filled with intelligent debate, but I'm afraid finding substantive conversations on this forum is a difficult task anymore. Easier to just dismiss your opponents as people who have "never done anything for their country" I suppose...
Exactly. I bring up Patriot Act 2, and several posters insult my patriotism, without addressing the legislation.
I bring up Bovard's new book "Terrorism and Tyranny", and people talk about tinfoil.
But like I said before, I hope they enjoy their police state. When they violate some victimless "law", like Limbaugh did, maybe they'll realize how un-Free this country is unless you have money.

By announcing the sky marshalls program on international flights he is trying to scare off the bad guys.
The bad guys won't know if the guy sitting across from them coming from London is an SAS type commando.

Deconstructionists are those who are subtly destroying the Constitution, the laws, the culture, the history of the nation.
Most of those people ARE in the government, with the majority of the rest in the Media and Academia.
People expressing outrage at the deconstruction of this nation by those elitists, whether pols, judges, newsreaders or professors, is not deconstructionist.
