Maybe related to Isreal's concern about New Years Eve.

Nothing follows. Probably a very true statement. They will come out and say 'There is some bad people a wantin' to hurt us' and then tell us to go back to work.
Just seems some of these things are a little slack on details at times. If they have some details, especially photos of the perps, hope they show em.

I think if we ever went to Elmo, it would not be initiated with a press briefing scheduled two hours hence...it would probably be announced in the past tense.

This is what hes going to say: "we dont have any specific threats for New Years, just a general threat for the holidays" "go on as usual, be vigilent"........yawn.

Although I consider myself a peace-loving citizen, I am really getting tired of having to deal with the threats.
Personally, I can think of more than a few ways to end the situation right now.

Considering the recent flights out of Paris to LA being possible foiled terrorist acts, I wouldn't take these warnings too lightly.

It's obvious that these so-called warnings with no real information behind them don't do a lot for national security. Even among freepers they're seen as pointless.
They need a new way of approaching this, or they're just wasting time and risking actually making people less vigilant via this sort of content-free 'briefing'.
To: Semper Paratus
Just a guess: "We have received __________ threats and are doing everything possible to assure safety. However, if____ happens, continue to monitor ebs etc."
To: Semper Paratus
Back to Big Bird, perhaps?

It's obvious that these so-called warnings with no real information behind them don't do a lot for national security.I like the way the French give details. "We are cancelling flights for security reasons. Don't show up so we can catch you." Ridge is way behind the curve don't you think.

I would be expecting too much for Ridge to call out the French with hard evidence about what was planned for Ari France last week.
To: Semper Paratus
"We have specific information about certain threats to certain places. We're not going to tell you anything about it, though.
"So, go back to work, and don't worry your little heads. We have trained authorities to deal with all your problems.
"And go out and buy more stuff.
"And never you mind about those 'undocumented workers.' We're on top of that."

Cats dont need reminded to stay vigilant... They are always vigilant.

Ridge has the most unenvious job in D.C. He has to stand up tell us we are safe & yet leave the borders unsecured. It's a joke - he's a joke.
