Elizabeth Corrie would see her younger cousin every summer at the family vacation spot on Minnesota's Cedar Lake.

Elizabeth, a Midlothian High School alumna who teaches at a private school in Atlanta, was born nearly a decade earlier than Rachel. But they shared a similar sense of humor, a yearning for social justice and a desire to make a difference.

In all fairness, Palestine does not exist. She must have been referring to the Palestinian Territories, which were invented in 1923 by the British.

Mental deficients are usually cared for by their family and most do quite well.
When the whole family is so handicapped one can only assume (and hope) that their genes will soon be extinct. Modern medicine tends to stretch out the inevitable process in a most cruel fashion.

I'd visit with Jessica Lynch any day of the week rather than with Rachel Corrie's burning social-justice family.

Author Williams acts as if there is mythology only surrounding the Lynch story while engaging in the creation of it for the Corrie family's benefit.

I can't wait for James Taranto of The Wall Street Journal's Best of The Web to return from vacation. He'll rip this schtuff up.

Williams needs to get fired. He's circulating falsehoods, regurgitated Indymedia propaganda.

St. Pancake, the daughter of devout devotees of communism, hated America and loved the palestinians mainly because they are seen as blocking the expansion of western democracy and capitalism.

BTW, she wasn't wearing a flourescent jumpsuit. No was she deliberately run over. She lost her footing, and the accounts of her friends who were there with her said initially that the driver couldn't see her, that she slipped off of a moving hill of dirt she had clambered onto.

She wasn't "backed over" either. The machine was moving backward, but she wasn't backed over. She was struck by the shovel when she slipped and slid forward.

It's always a tragedy when young life is lost, but her ideals were misplaced, and she put herself in harms way to protect the material possessions of terrorists.
