Fox and Friends turns up the juice.

TV transcript | 12/29/03

I must admit that I cannot stand the weekend edition of Fox and Friends. Mike Jerrick rarely contributes to the discussion, and that leaves Juliet argueing with Julian Phillips most of the program. Julian uses "Katie Couric" language such as "some feel" or "most feel." I hear Julian dance around the actual subject and attempt to make himself look neutral only then to parrot the liberal line.

Julian will say something like this "You know some feel and I think I gotta agree with Dean. This capture of Saddam really hasn't made us any safer." By starting with "some feel" its as if he's quoting some anonymous group. Contrast that to the three hosts who work during the week. Why just this morning I heard Steve, E.D., and Brian talking about the White House Christmas party.

Steve:
"You know we got the meet the Vice President."
(Steve showing pictures of his the Vice President and himself.)

E.D.:
"We couldn't figure out what to get the Vice President."

Steve:
"No gifts over 20 bucks right?"

E.D.:
"Right. Nothing over 20 bucks. So we got him a 20 dollar gift certificate to Joe's pizza down in Crawford."

Steve:
"Ha! You gave that to a guy with a heart condition?"

E.D.:
"I know. We started to feel really bad when we realized this. But when we were able to give it to him he said it was the best gift he could have gotten. He loved it!"

Steve:
"I stood in line and got to meet the Vice President as well. We got to take a picture with him. When I got up to the front of the line I told him that I thought this was the line to meet Santa?!??!"

E.D.:
"Oh No! What did he say?"

Steve:
"He laughed. He told me that I could have anything I wanted this year."

And E.D. ends the segment with a BANG!

E.D.:
"Its not Dick Cheney that does that. Its Congress!!!!!"

You can tell when someone is telling you what THEY think as opposed to someone telling you what they want YOU to think. Its quite obvious.

Julian, for all practical purposes, is a vegetable.

When I first got a load of Julian's act when he first appeared on Fox, I thought he was a very gay, well-dressed blade.............."not that there's anything wrong with that"!

And my mouth isn't fat. In fact, I've been called "chicken lips" before. If I had the money I'd get some doc to puff 'em up to look like Laurie Dhue's lips. But back to the subject...

Have you even noticed the way Julian wears his tie? It's usually very long and he sits with it hanging between his legs almost like a phallic symbol or something. Maybe only a woman would notice that. If Fox needs to fire him, it's because his ties are too distracting, not because of his political views.

Did I mention that there are a bunch of morons here?

Everytime a post about Julian Phillips comes up you can rest assured of one of two things happening!

Someone will either say that we are angry with him because he's black or somebody will say we are angry with him because he's liberal.

IN FACT IT ISN'T EITHER! I could give a rats ass if he is liberal or not. What I care about..and if you had READ the original post in this thread you would understand...

You mean intelligent adults actually watch TV on weekend mornings? Don't y'all have something better to do that precludes watching the idiot box those mornings? (If only getting ready to go to the track to drink yourself silly and plunge your brains out like moi?) I only watch morning TV briefly during the week to catch the weather report on Channel 7. (Inside joke for S. Fla. freepers. Hint: Now that's a storm front!) From what little I do catch of morning TV, it's dumbed down even worse than evening TV so why bother with it?

Turn Fox and Friends on if you must to see the blonde, but at least turn the sound down to spare yourself the prattle. If you want real entertainment Saturday morning from an attractive,intelligent, witty and slightly salty host, listen to Kim Komando on the radio! (Rush's best imitator!)
