Does it worry you in the least that the prosecutors didn't have even one provable fact of Rush breaking the law before they decided they needed to see Rush's med records?
The prosecutors are the ones doing the "shopping". They have failed to prove any of the first 3 speculative accusations they lobbed out, so now they are going fishing for anything, and violating Rush's right to privacy in the process.
Is this Gestapo tactic OK with you?

This is Rushs' spin and version on things. Apparently they did have enough evidence before cracking open a medical record to state this. I do believe they contended this prior to getting the ok to open the records. Furthermore I do not believe it was the prosecution who lobbed out the original 3 accusations this was the media. The prosecution is NOW speaking and has found probable cause to prosecute.
"violating Rush's right to privacy in the process"
Can you point to me where in the Constitution where there is a "right to privacy" clause?
Face it Rush has been caught red handed. If found guilty this man is a utter hypocrit.

Does it worry you in the least that the prosecutors didn't have even one provable fact of Rush breaking the law before they decided they needed to see Rush's med records? They had Rush's admission that he was addicted, and when you are, there are various ways of getting the drugs, and one of them is doctor shopping. Then they checked out the pharmacies and found several overlapping prescriptions for a large period of time. There are two explanations for that, one of which is shady physicians, and the other is doctor shopping. That is probable cause to see his medical records will show which one is true. But Rush doesn't want them released. I wonder why?

To all you Rush bashers out there, how would you like it if your neighbor called the police and said YOU were doing drugs, and without prior proof, the county District Attorney got a search warrant for all your doctor records, and then MADE THEM PUBLIC.
That, my friends, is exactly what is happening to Rush.
