Why is Rush on trial here, without even any charges being filed?<>P> Because when you the host of a conservative talk show you are by default a big fat target. Rush knows this and knows his failures and successes become public fodder. I don't feel soory for him, it comes with the job.
Shouldnt Dr Quack be the one being investigated for leading an innocent victim down the path of lawlessness and drug use?
Rush is a big boy and needs to take repsonsiblity for his actions, blaming "Dr. Quack" is nonsense and illogical.

Rush is a big boy and needs to take repsonsiblity for his actions, blaming "Dr. Quack" is nonsense and illogical. Eventhough the author doesn't understand ezctly what the doctor shopping law is, it is quite possible that anybody could run afoul of the law by visiting a second doctor. The point is, Rush should take responsibility, but the punishment needs to fit the crime. Do you really believe that Rush should be jailed, when no one on the face of the earth has been prosecuted under similar circumstances? Yeah, that's fair.

blaming "Dr. Quack" is nonsense and illogical I think when you know the facts, it might seem to you quite a bit more logical than the doctor shopping charge.
As I understand it two of the doctors he "shopped" for are ones in California associated with his cochlear implant and the other two in Florida are associated with each other.

"Doctor shopping" is crime... why? Why is it the government's business what you do with however many doctors you want in any interval you want?
Similarly, "structuring" is a crime only because the government wants to stick its nose into every financial deal larger than buying a used Yugo.
Are we truly free when laws like this stalk people like Rush?

What does "taking responsibility for his actions" mean he has to do?
Go into treatment? Acknowledge his addiction? Stop taking the drugs? What else?

You have missed the point big time or you are simply either ignorant or a Rush bashing leftist.

Rush is a big boy and needs to take repsonsiblity for his actions, blaming "Dr. Quack" is nonsense and illogical. Huh, Rush admitted his addiction to millions of people. I don't ever remember him blaming anybody called "Dr. Quack". But what the hey you gotta an agenda to pursue, like the demo Palm Beach County prosecutor.

"Rush is a big boy and needs to take repsonsiblity for his actions..."Fine. You want a witch hunt??
Then YOU won't mind being investigated for "lifting" a few pens from your office back in '92, "stumbling" into porn sites last year, OR your "accidentily" doing 60 in a 45 MPH zone once a week.

Rush is a big boy and needs to take repsonsiblity for his actionsHe's already done that. How could you miss that? Were you living in an underground room in Tikrit recently?

Obviously you don't listen to Rush .. so your comments are disgusting. Rush has already taken responsibility for his actions.
As I said on another thread .. this is an attack by the Hillary goon squad. The state attorney general is one of Janet Reno's goons. Somehow this fact is being overlooked by the media. If Hillary wants to run in 2004, she has to find a way to shut Rush up. What better way than to find people within the FL govt who will be willing to help her accomplish her goal. When this attorney general ORDERED his people to open the "sealed" files of Rush, even though they knew Rush had filed a stay, shows me they had only one goal .. to get the information from the files before they were taken away. Now the files have been resealed .. and the cat is out of the bag. Hopefully .. they did not find anything they can try to use against Rush .. but if anything leaks out .. I would expect Rush will sue them BIG TIME over it.
Al Franken and Ed Asner said, "now we've got him". And .. you think Rush is making this stuff up ..?? Rush is being attacked because he's exposing the Hillary gang for what they really are.
The doctors (3 of them) .. 2 are in the same office (meaning there is ONE GENERAL RECORD which would show all the drugs the patient is taking from all doctors within the same group, and the third doctor is his ear doctor. How on earth can anyone with any brains at all call that "doctor shopping".

"Rush is a big boy and needs to take responsibility for his actions, blaming "Dr. Quack" is nonsense and illogical. " I couldn't agree more. As matter of fact, he already has. The accusation's the Florida officials have laid upon him, should be more than sufficient for being addicted to pain killers and buying them illegal, that is, if he even did this. This is nothing more than a smear campaign.
