Reindeer Gets 'Frisky' With TV Reporter
Blitzen Knocks Woman Off Her Feet

turnto10, Rhode Island
POSTED: 2:55 PM EST December 23, 2003 UPDATED: 2:58 PM EST December 23, 2003
As you know, Santa's reindeer are gearing up for their "big night," just a few days away. They've been cooped up all year long, saving their energy to pull St. Nick's sleigh all around the world.
This, of course, gives the reindeer all a serious case of cabin fever and reporter Meghan Stapleton from NBC station KTUU learned that the hard way. As she was squatting down next to "Blitzen," he got spooked.
The reindeer leaped right over Stapleton and knocked her down. But to her credit, Stapleton never let go of the reins. This is coincidentally what Santa trains his own elves to do.
Stapleton was not hurt. Blitzen's handler said that the reindeer wasn't attacking her, instead getting a little "frisky."
When asked why she didn't let go of the reins, Stapleton said, "It would be a shame to lose Blitzen two days before Christmas."

Didn't Joe Namath do something similar to Suzy Kolber of ESPN this weekend?

So it was an incomplete pass? :=) Only because Joe Willie was so blitzed he couldn't spot the tight end.

Anyone else notice the ironic "crawl" at the bottom of the screen? Ouch!

Ironic that the scroll at the bottom of the screen is saying, "Illusionist Roy Horn out of hospital," just as a human is being attacked by an animal.

Unless they invoke the "tuck" rule.
To: Prime Choice
So Blitzen's real name is "Roy Horn?" Hmmm.
