CHICAGO, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- For the first time since tracking began 20 years ago, U.S. women outnumber men in higher paying, white collar managerial and professional occupations.
The gap will continue because of a self-perpetuating cycle of workplace gains for women, according to international outplacment firm Chicago-based Challenger, Gray & Christmas.
"As a growing number [of women] move into upper management roles, those [women] further down the ladder will reap the benefits by increasingly being targeted for advancement," said John A. Challenger, chief executive officer of Challenger, Gray & Christmas.

Count the number of American born, non-minority white males on the TV News, Ads etc and you get the picture of political correctness. Seems there was the vilanizing of the "WASPS" in colleges 50 years ago that has achieved their goal - much as Happy Holidays has replaced Merry Christmas, especially in schools. Hopefully, the pendulum will swing to the right again.
BTW I have no problem with women getting ahead, but as things go, they are more family oriented (generally have custody of the kids), follow their husbands and are less willing to move or travel. Yet they are promoted more than men. Politically Correct, but wrong... it demonstrates the institutionalizing of discrimination against white males.

My company's vice president for engineering is a woman. She worked her way up in the company over nearly 20 years. How exactly is her being in a corporate leadership position going to cause white men (who still make up more than 90% of the organization) to have to look elsewhere for career enhancement?
All I want is to do my job (which I enjoy) and make the same amount of money as my male co-workers in the same paygrade. I'm not sure how this is threatening to men...

It isn't threatening to men who recognize that talent and skill aren't sex specific. The rest deserve the angst they feel.

Don't worry, the way things are going, those white collar jobs will be moved to India, China, or elsewhere. Working in a blue collar position may allow you to keep your job, assuming you work for yourself.

It's not - nothing wrong with that. Question is, would you take a promotion offered to you in order to help the stature of women as a whole, when you know that a more qualified man is being passed over because he's, well, a he?
In the corporate world there isn't a broad cultural union of men thinking of themselves as victims like there are with women i.e.. feminists. We have several generations of women who fit the definition of female chauvinist in how the view and look down on men and see nothing wrong with discriminating against men or 'males' as they call them. Record numbers of older single childless career women exist in our society, I expect to see more of the chauvinist feminist ideals manifested in employment practices.

A female VP brazenly pronounced that she would be favoring women for promotions until the playing field is equal. I saw the same thing but within our all female HR department. Not surprised now with these stats coming out.

No, I wouldn't accept a promotion offered only because I'm a woman. I hate the idea that I could be evaluated more highly simply because of my gender - IMO only performance should determine promotions.
I haven't encountered a lot of the childless radical feminist types - I'm actually the only unmarried woman in the organization, and all but one of the other women is a mother. I guess I'm lucky that the feminazis haven't invaded - yet.

My wife is looking for such a company as yours since she's had it with lesbian management or being on the outside as she doesn't join in with the cosmopolitan girl type clicks. It's very hard to be a Christian, that is, adhering to the Christian standards in so many of the larger corporate environments.

The head of the science department, a woman, said she arranged this because the woman could serve as a role model to girls taking science.
During her first days of teaching the course, the teacher told her students she didn't know what she was doing. Many students dropped out of her class. The students who remained are unhappy and she is unhappy.
What kind of female role model is she?

During her first days of teaching the course, the teacher told her students she didn't know what she was doing. At least someone was honest - that would be a terrible situation to find yourself if you're interested in building your career.
I'm sure it taught the students a lesson as well, hopefully that generation will be wise to the lies of the feminist religion.
