That's "prosecutors." This is because they are gathering evidence to prosecute for the very real crime of doctor shopping. In this investigation, the prosecutor is entitled to have search warrants issued where there is probable cause, such as for medical and presecription records. Rush has given them plenty of probable cause in his public admissions of drug abuse. This is the system working as it is supposed to.

If you don't like it, then try removing the prosecutorial problem at it's source, the War on Drugs.

I think Florida Governor Jeb Bush should request a grand jury investigation of the leaks that have come out in this case. Rush made good points about how leaks from people "close to the investigation" were depicting him as being involved in a drug ring, or depicting him as a money launderer. This is outrageous and heads should roll.

What happened to the alleged charges of drug running and money laundering? I guess the pro-Clinton, pro-Reno District Attorney couldn't find any evidence of those crimes. So now he is on a fishing expedition for some evidence, any evidence of a crime, any crime. We'll see if he is able to find any. I doubt it. I think Rush has pretty much confessed what he has done already, and its not prosecutable.

There is every chance there is political bias in this case. YOU don't know all of the facts yet. If you don't realize how hated Rush is in liberal circles then you have been out of the country the last several years. Merry Christmas.

Oh no no no, we should just end the WOD doncha know. I don't know what Rush really did or didn't do yet, but this has all of the marks of a political vendetta on it.

I've seen people under the influence of various illegal drugs. I was never afraid for my safety when I was around someone "under" an opiate or synthetic narcotic. These people are mellow, and aren't dangerous until they need a fix. The people who scare me are people who take speed or PCP.

I think the DA's office needs to look into the allegations that on many occasions Mr. Limbaugh willfully drove just under the speed limit to avoid getting a ticket. That could be hugh, and it certainly is series!!!!

Obviously you were not in a vehicle they were driving.

I suspected I would get at least one stupid response like that and I TWO of them! I would not let someone drive, nor would I knowingly be a passenger in, a vehicle being operated by someone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

I wonder how many people have been prosecuted for "doctor shopping" in Florida.

"But the larger issue is that the seizure of Mr. Limbaugh's private medical records without going through the process outlined by the state legislature is clearly an invasion of Mr. Limbaugh's constitutional right to privacy."

What 'right to privacy'? I'm sorry that Rush is being prosecuted in this matter, but I have to say that I've heard Rush rant against the existence of a "constitutional right to privacy." Until he needed it, for his own defense.

Rush's Statement on Ongoing Florida Fishing Expedition.

One time I was giving a deposition under oath. In the middle of the questioning I realized they were on a fishing trip to ensnare others. I signaled that I wanted to go off the record. They stopped the recording and taking notes and said we were off the record. I asked them "Are you on a fishing trip? they answered 'You're damn right we are! After that I thought twice about my answers.

I hope Rush did the same. - Tom
