Their families, no doubt, have been threatened by the "peaceful muslims" living amongst us. You know, the farrakhan types?

He'll make someone a damn fine prison wife until he meets with an "accident".

The reporter said that while they were in the courtroom, some of the jurors were very "somber" and "some were crying." I'd be crying if they didnt fry him. Justice requires an appropriate penalty for ending a dozen lives. Somehow 30 years of cable TV, small cells, and bland food just doesnt do 'justice' to the crime.

7 or 17 years, the scum will be out. In 7 or 17 years no one will dare to argue, as no one, except the relative of the murdered man, dares to argue with this today:
[...] Becker -- a onetime heroin addict convicted of first-degree murder in a 1980 Sausalito slaying -- will be released in the next few months after Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger declined to review the state parole board's decision granting her parole. The governor's decision Monday brought joy to Becker's legion of supporters around the country.
[...]"She participated in a lot of self-help programs in prison and has more insight into her responsibility for the crime and the role her drug addiction played in her behavior,'' Sessa said. "She has had no disciplinary problems in 23 years in prison. In all, she's a far more mature person with far more insight into her own problems and, as a result, we don't believe she would be a threat to the community.'' continued...
Note the boilerplate last paragraph (snipped from the original) about your stereotypical "changed person". Brings a tear to the cat's eye, I tell ya!

So if he is convicted and sentenced to death in Alabama, does he serve his sentences in the various states concurrently or consecutively.

this kid was actually classified as THREE minority classes: gay, black and underage. Small correction:
FOUR minority classes: gay, black, underage, and Muslim.
A liberal "victim" in all counts. Maybe he also has Attention Deficit Disorder or dyslexia, so he might have a FIFTH victimhood status... handicapped
What a farse!

If Malvo gets death in another state or another jurisdiction, they'll go through the appeals & then stick the needle in him.
Alabama has some very solid evidence against Malvo, more than they had in this case.

He can be tried in each state where a murder occurred. Each murder is a separate offense. And each state is sovereign over the crimes committed within that state.

"Wonder where he's going to get all the money for the fines? "
If he works in prison and happens to get a job with a pay slot (.10 per day or some such amount) they will take something from him every month. They will never collect all of it.

I believe that Malvo should fry for what he did.
That said, I worked in a prison for a while, and got to know a young man (age 23) who was in for murder.
He had fallen in with the wrong crowd when he was 16, and killed a man. I don't know the details, but from working with him on a construction crew, I was convinced that he would be OK on the outside as a free man.
After the OJ fiasco, it's hard not to by cynical, but I still believe that we have to rely on the judge and the jury in these cases.

Another brilliant jury performance. Yep, Virginia jury no better than Maryland and only slightly better than California. These jurors are cowards.

"He's got a good 60 - 70 years ... "
He snuffed out a dozen lives, and the sentence is to spend 60 years at taxpayer expense ($20-40,000/yr cost) in prison.
And he doesnt have to worry about nothing.
The taxpayers are the ones being punished by this! Not him!

Baby Face Malvo will become the posterchild for Islamofascists! He will have reporters and groupies and ghost-writers and missionaries all trying to make him a celebrity. It is a terrible decision. He needs to be 'recycled' as I heard someone say on the radio today.

He snuffed out a dozen lives, And will eventually face trial for all of that. He'll get his, in the end. In more ways than one ... < snicker >

Given his letter about trying to escape if he's in general population,He did? I missed that. He did try to escape from the Rockville, MD jail. Crawled up into the ceiling panels. I was driving by at the time and you could tell something was going on, police everywhere.
I can't wait til Alabama gets him. Doubt Maryland would fry him, but it depends on the county.
