I can't help but think about how close we must be to the Second Coming36"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man." -- Matthew 24:36-37

When will He come? According to Romans 11:15, He will come after the Jews accept Christ as their Messiah.

At the time most embarassing to prophecy-salesmen who think they know more than the LORD. Every single one of them has been totally dead wrong, from St. Paul's day until ... yesterday. Isn't one definition of insanity "to keep on doing the same thing, expecting a different result"?

IThessalonians 5:1 But of the times and the season, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the LORD so cometh as a thief in the night.
3. For when they shall say, "PEACE and safety;" then sudden destruction cometh upon them as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4. But ye, brethern, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5. YE are all the children of LIGHT, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

Or another way to ask the question:
How many times has Jesus returned and we failed to recognize it?

For many reasons, I believe Jesus is returning soon. But I'm especially drawn to II Timothy 3:1-5, which describes the state of the world in the "last days." Tell me if this doesn't sound like our world: But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. To me, that sounds like our world today.
Yes, because before the 1960s men never exhibited any of these traits. We were all saints up until recently.

I'm sure He will come " Like a thief in the night" and you won't know He's been here till it's too late. He will remove His people and leave this place to those who worship the physical life.
May God bless all of you, Jesus is the reason for the season.

I wish He would return right now, walk through the streets in the Holy Land; and say, "please stop killing each other".

Most folks would be better off welcoming his message into their hearts rather than waiting for him to show up in their neighborhoods. IMHO
To: Theodore R.
A lot of people thinks he will come depends on your interpretation of scripture and whether you are a pre-trib, mid-trib or post-trib rapture apologist. I personally believe he's coming before the 7 years that will end Satan's rule on earth. But like someone here already mentioned "He'll come when He comes." No one knows exactly for sure when the day will be, we are just called to be diligent and be prepared for it.
I agree with the writer of this article though in saying that it will be soon, but I've been saying that for over 20 years now. Does that make the message any less vital for today's world? Not at all, people and prophets alike have warned people for almost 2000 years that the end will come.
We just have to be diligent. Don't let your lambs loose their oil.
