I, myself, tend to agree with your synopsis. They are gaining info every day and gaging how we react to the "chatter" and setting up a scenario when we are complacent and on low alert to do their evil deeds.

The trained pilots story becomes much more plausible when you look at the Egypt Air flight that was piloted into the ocean (was this flight 990?)back in 1997 or 1998. Egypt sent investigators to look over the shoulders of the NTSB investigators and tried to obstruct the effort at every turn. The real motivation of the relief pilot was never made clear - but he controlled the plane into the ocean.

All I can say - is that we should have a wave of B-52's fueled and ready - and if Al Qaeda manages to pull something off - we obliterate the region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
