That would be bad. But like some writers and Rush Limbaugh point out. Can you imagine the reaction? Can you imagine what the US might decide to do in response?

i have to tell you, I think Bush is pushing this too far with the rhetoric this time. the media is now taking it and spreading fear. if its that bad, go to code red during the holiday period.

Direct them toward me. I'll be happy to show them what 44 caliber and a just plain nasty disposition can do in the West Virginia woods.

And while we are sitting here trying to defend ourself from a terrorist attack, "Observers Fault U.S. for Pursuing Mini-Nukes" -- in other words they don't want us to respond.

Critics say initiative will undermine American efforts to build support for nuclear controls.
VIENNA, Austria -- Research on a new generation of precision atomic weapons by the Bush administration threatens to undermine international efforts to stop the spread of nuclear arms and to tarnish recent successes, according to diplomats and nonproliferation experts.
The criticism focuses on the administration's decision to lay the groundwork for developing low-yield weapons -- known as mini-nukes -- while pursuing President Bush's doctrine of pre-emptive strikes against rogue states.

Code Red will never happen until we are under attack. That is the only reason it is on the chart. We are technically on the highest color we will ever get to before an actual attack is going on.

Even the terrorists know who their friends are -- that's why they won't touch Hollywood.

well, then code red isn't good for much.
To: FirstPrinciple
This is my theory. Nothing will happen but terrorists are simply taking notes on how we respond to chatters. Next time there is a terrorist attack, there will be no chatters. I, myself, tend to agree with your synopsis. They are gaining info every day and gaging how we react to the "chatter" and setting up a scenario when we are complacent and on low alert to do their evil deeds.

The trained pilots story becomes much more plausible when you look at the Egypt Air flight that was piloted into the ocean (was this flight 990?)back in 1997 or 1998. Egypt sent investigators to look over the shoulders of the NTSB investigators and tried to obstruct the effort at every turn. The real motivation of the relief pilot was never made clear - but he controlled the plane into the ocean.
All I can say - is that we should have a wave of B-52's fueled and ready - and if Al Qaeda manages to pull something off - we obliterate the region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.

if its that bad, go to code red during the holiday period.Can't. The "Elmo" level shuts down transportation, business, etc.Think of Sept 11-12-that's what Red is like.

I believe from what I've read that the code colors (red especially?) are more for LEO than for the general public.
It gives THEM parameters to work within.

Oh come on - go to Red - and threaten Nuclear Retaliation against Syria, Lebanon, and Iran - I don't want the Government to go to Red AFTER the Cargo Jet blows up the Sugar Bowl.

You really think GWB is going to kill innocent Arabs because of what terrorist groups do? Don't bet on it. We won't even kick Arabs out of this nation. I wish I was wrong but I doubt it.
