That's how I felt about about previous warnings-they were just testing the system
Something about this time feels different.
I hope I'm wrong
Only reason I agree, is that this is likely, THE LAST DANCE.

we hit all their military and nuclear facilities with small nukes, and we hit all populations in the tribal regions near afghanistan where the taliban and AQ get sanctuary.

what if NYC vaporizes on Christmas...Saudis, Yemenis, Indonesians...who do we bomb? Wait for the Hajj in February when they'll all be in the same place.

I agree with you...my personal view is that our response to a WMD attack (or more particularly a suitcase nuke in a major city) should be to take out ALL military assets and any potential WMD sites throughout the Middle East (AND North Korea, for that matter), as well as perhaps nuking the tribal region near Afghanistan and Pakistan where Bin Laden and his ilk get their sanctuary. However, that leaves us with decisions about what to do about Saudi Arabia, and the likely overthrow of Musharaf after we hit Pakistani territory;
That being said, my real question is what option would President George W. Bush decide to take?

If I'm disgusting, I guess half the people on these threads who feel the same way are disgusting too. You have a lot more than me to convince. Methinks you're yelling into a very strong wind. But yell if you must if it makes you feel better.

That's exactly correct! The color codes tell the appropriate agencies in the cities, counties, states and federal organizations exactly what measures to take.
Even Civil Air Patrol. They've been busy in my area lately.

The problem is, almost no one who wears a turban(especially that we'd see in the US) is Muslim.
Only the Sikhs wear the tightly wound turbans like that. Sure, some of the Pashtuns and such wear them, but do Afghans in the US wear them? None that I've EVER seen.
So I'd actually a PSA saying that Muslims do NOT wear turbans. Khaffiyehs are a different matter.

The MILITIA MOVEMENT are anarchist crackpots. This time around it will be everyday citizens...the guys with rebel flags on their pickups as Dean so proudly describes.
And now, since I'm so disgusting, I'll go clean my weapons and leave some of these bleeding heart pacifists to contemplate their morals.

I also find Gaddafi's recent willingness to discard his WMD program very suspicious.... he knows something major is about to happen and wants to take measures to ensure that he is not included in any U.S. military response. Excellent deduction: I concur.
He was very quick to get our agents out in the field to see the sights and the sites.
He's putting a lot of distance between himself and his fellow Muslims.
Quite frankly, this, above all else, has got my attention and worry, considering the timing.
To: happygrl
I DEFINITELY agree. Something is "not quite right" with the Libyan decision to renounce WMD.
That, and the fact that Ashcroft and Rummy got called back from vacation for this latest gig.
Oh, and the small fact that the gov't was running "continuity of government" exercises today.
Makes me wonder if the stuff on Steve Quayles site is accurate.
If it is, and they hit us with WMD..it's gonna rain US of A nukes all OVER the ME. There won't be a towelhead left in the entire region, IMHO!!

Oh My Gosh, when they raised the threat level I was going to leave Seattle and go to a friends cabin in the mountains. Now I hear that they will attack small towns.
Gosh, gee willikers, al Qaeda is everywhere.
It very cold out, but I think I'll just have to get in the boat and go out on Puget Sound to get away from them.
They don't have submarines yet....do they?
Beside myself with terror and sarcasm

so concerned because they so closely mirror the conversations picked up before the Sept. 11 attacks. Uhhmm....so they DID know?
All they have to do is go back and play the tapes when they know what they are looking for. Most intel is sorted by computer before a human ever sees it.. if a human sees it. Yes, they did know. After the fact, in 20-20 hindsight.

Major cities and remote areas ? But I guess those of us in suburbia can rest easy. The only terrorists we have to face are the board members of our HOAs.

Yes, the enemy is coming to kill or enslave all of us if they can. There is an Axis of Evil. Many regimes must fall because of it. I salute all those among our Armed Forces, police, fire, INTEL agencies, politicians and allies who are defending us. I despise the traitors."I see in your eyes, the same fear that would take the heart of me! A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day."
"This day we fight."
To: jstolzen
The Libyan issue had been in the works for several months. I don't think he just go some info and decided to wipe his hands clean of WMD.
THAT SAID...
Ashcroft and Rumsfeld getting recalled from Christmas vacation (Ashcroft especially being a devout Christian) sends up a major red flag to me as well. I would not be surprised if they are going to be in a shadow government facility "just in case".
Some have opined that this is another headfake. I don't believe so. The flurry of supposed targets tell me they are going to pick one and run with it. They're challenging us to find a needle in a haystack.
If a WMD is used, the gloves have to come off. There can be absolutely no precedent set that a WMD attack is not returned in kind. However, I think the Constitution would survive a WMD attack.
To: jstolzen
Sorry, but no way will we use nukesin thewaron terror, unless things get very extreme and we declare war on one or more nations.
Even then, even if we take a WMD hit first, we wont use nukes unless things get very extreme.
I think you are very wrong if you expect us to nuke some other country (whichone?)should 1/5th ofnyc benuikedoff the face of the earth. It just isn't going to happen.
