Impressive timing. Perhaps someone should check FRs clock.Nothing wrong with the clock.
I just happened to find a news article that I thought people might find interesting.

Way off topic... but tell me what you thought of Return of the King! (how many times have you seen it by now?)

Perhaps someone should check FRs clock.Probably because no more than a couple of minutes had gone by before I hit the post button. Didn't edit. Just posted.

Loved it... Only seen it twice! - ecurbh is sick as a dog, and we had to cancel our weekend view that was planned. I am trying to get him better.
To: Momaw Nadon
I believe you. But I wouldln't put it past a clever Freeper to tie some earthquake alert service into an automatic posting mechanism. Trust but verify.
To: William Tell
Guess I type slower than I thought. Thanks for the test.

We've got a Freeper review thread! Come check it out, it should be listed under the LotR threads!

6.5, Pretty respectable as earthquakes go.
To: Amerigomag
Yes, that is what I am hearing.
It is always unnerving when we feel an earthquake in the central valley. My first thought is, what part of the state got hit?
Just heard there are some minor injuries and some fires in San Simeon.

This is all your fault (pun unintended)...I hope you're happy now.

Best of the lot. I'm going tonight (time 4). Some of it was really, really wrong - have you seen it? The "lembas" scene, I hated that. Some of it was really, really good.

This is all your fault (pun unintended)...I hope you're happy now. I've been blamed for a lot of things before, but not for an earthquake.

I love the way they wrapped it up.... I needed to see Frodo at peace again on the boat. And the ending coming back to Sam.
And I keep thinking about the beacons. I loved the lighting of the beacons!
Did you like it?
To: JenB
I didn't like the lembas scene because I think it changed Sam's character... but, I understand why Jackson chose to do it... (perils of Pauline kind of thing) But... it gave Smeagol some more screen time, so I like that part of it.
The only thing I didn't really like was the Aragorn's speech after his coronation... he seemed really stiff and awkward. I changed my mind (after seeing it the 2nd time) about his "rally the troops" speech. At first, I didn't think he had done a good job... but, on a second look, I realized he really did deliver...though, compared to Stephen Lang's rally the troops speech in Gods and Generals...Viggo's was pretty lame.
Thought Billy Boyd as Pippin was remarkable. He delivered in spades.
Overall... I will give it the highest of marks.
