Good point I looked up the dates of all major conflicts the US has been in an rarely did one ever occur on Sat or Sun.

The politicians seem to stick to M-F and take the week ends off.

So you pointing out that today is Sunday and a day of rest for many of us Christians is a point I will think and wonder about now.

You definitely have a way of insulting people. For your information, the first year my husband and I were married, we were burgled. The police came within minutes AND (surprise, to you perhaps), took fingerprints. AND, found the family heirlooms that were stolen and subsequently sold to a local pawn shop.

You seem to find the worst in people. As I've said before, there are bad doctors and bad policemen and bad bankers, etc. You are what I would call a not helpful Freeper and seem to have a very disquieting way of putting both people and professions down. You demean a public servant, a good friend of GWB, a man who left his home and came to DC to help. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before, but I find it strange how Libya is disclosing it's WMD program and is cooperating with its dismantling. Perhaps they have shared info with the US/UK and hence knows what's coming up. I think part of this is why there's an orange alert. Libya know what's coming up, has shared it with us, and doesn't want a US response that is going to follow after the fact. I have a gut feeling the next attack is multiple/simultaneous small nukes in various population centers, followed by the release of chemical/bio weapons. Tens of millions of casualties...Our enemy wants us in complete economic, and deathly chaos. If successful, we will still have our weapons fleet intact, with orders to possibly retaliate against major middle east locations with concentration in Iran, Syria, and Northern Pakistan. Secondary targets would only happen if there are further attacks on our homeland. Pray that this doesn't happen, or that we are able to catch it in time....Pray.....

My sister-in-law's brother was a policeman killed in the line of duty several years ago. I also have a friend who is a widow of a policeman shot by an armed robber.

so far, their level of sophistication seems to stop with truck bombs, or whatever they can steal or hijack. the idea that the same group has small nukes all over the US is a stretch.

in any case, information like this would get out. people would get tipped off, and the tips would spread amongst government family members, friends, business contacts, etc. The stock market would collapse, not just drop a hundred points or so, the bottom would totally fall out.

It's an especially bad time of year with all the festivities planned around Christmas and New Year. Very difficult time for law enforcement, who want to be with family, but it's likely leave/vacations have been cancelled.

Well I do think of my mother, dead for 11 years daily. She was quite lovely, never was called 'mommy' preferring mother, she was brilliant, a mathematician, was orphaned early and got her way thru grad school. She had six daughters, never once lost her temper or her dignity and was a rock. Thank you for reminding me of her. I hope to be half the woman she was but at my advanced age I do not believe I can catch up to her.

Now that I have made it this far reading this thread all day and dozing off a few times (cordless keyboard and getting rest post op with infected incision while King Vanity naps giving me a break from his care needs) I am starting to think on the side of hmmmm whats up with the alert on a Sunday and this new to me buzz word "chatter" with all you freepers opinions. Might not be a good time to poo poo the Govt. for a well meaning fore warning of possible terrorist threats. Oh and he fact that SH is now in our custody and all the jokes going around about that.

From the link posted Ridge mentions a threat equal or bigger in scope than 911. It's not clear here whether he means in casualties or in attacks. 10 nuts with bombs strapped to them would exceed the NUMBER of attacks, but casualites would obviously be lower.

There were three states mentioned in the specific trucker alert issued last week. North and South Carolina. I've forgotten the third state - New Jersey?
