Made me wonder, if, Rudy beat Hillary in 2006, would that set him up for a Presidential run in 2008?

Middle Easterners streaming to Texas

By EDWARD HEGSTROM Copyright 2002 Houston Chronicle

Texas has one of the nation's fastest-growing Middle Eastern populations, and most of the state's immigrants live in Houston, according to a study based on census data.

Researchers at the Center for Immigration Studies say Texas' Middle Eastern population more than doubled in the last decade, to just over 100,000, including more than 52,000 in Greater Houston.

From BBC: Libya 'gives US tips on al-Qaeda'
Libya is exchanging intelligence about the al-Qaeda network with the United States, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi has said.

Colonel Gaddafi said there were what he called Libyan terrorists in the US and Britain, and they should be "wiped out".

Hmmmmm

Sorry Cajungirl, the man was asleep at the switch during his last few years as governor. He has been asleep at the switch as mad mullahs whip their congregations into an anti-US (and anti-Israel) frenzy right here in the US. There are still thousands of illegal immigrants from Muslim lands who apparently come and go as they please.

Tom ain't all bad, but he's more of a party hack than an inspiring leader. And no, cajungirl, I am never going to forgive him for letting Ed Rendell and the Daley boy steal the electoral votes of Pennsylvania for Al Gore. None of the Florida nonsense would have had to take place if GWB had gotten an honest tally in PA. Sure other states were stolen, but that's the one I know about.

No but please enlighten I would like to rent it! AlQ takes much of their idea's from American movies. Saddam learned all he knows from being a thug thanks to his affection for The Godfather

Yes, I had read that about The Godfather. I believe Black Hawk Down was another movie frequently viewed...

From RottenTomatoes: SYNOPSIS of WRONG IS RIGHT
Broad political farce which follows the exploits of a world traveling TV field correspondent working for the World Television Network, who uncovers a terrorist plot to get hold of a nuclear bomb to sell to a Mideast country, and the subsequent effect the story has on the President of the United States, his political opponent and a chauvinist general.

TIDBITS Shot on location in New York; Washington, DC; Texas; New Mexico; France and Italy with Panavision equipment. Color by Metrocolor. Special thanks to: Dr. Ivan Catton and Dr. Gerald C. Pomraning (Nuclear Research Advisors) and the SONY Corp. of America Titles and opticals by Pacific Titles; title and montage design by George Grenville. indeed.

and didn't these Libyan agents know that there were negotiations under way for Libya to sell out to the US? I mean, if you were a Libyan agent in the US, at some point, don't you think someone in the chain of handlers above you would tip you off that this was happening, and to return home?

alot of this stuff is not adding up.

I make a great amaretto cake and those who don't typically drink swear they can feel the affects of alcohol.

Uh...Peach...you wouldn't happen to have that recipe handy, wouldja'?

(What with the holidays and all...you know....*g*)

It's one of the many reasons I so like this president and entire administration. They prefer to see the good in people and lift them up rather than tear people down.

What you say is true! Not only are they "good people," they just look so great together!

I just read this on DUh and had to share it. It does my heart good that this guy was peeing his pants for a while! It gives me confidence that despite all the BS most Americans are fed up with lefties who constantly criticize the current administration

So I was out Christmas shopping today

and decided to take a break. Naturally, I stopped in a local drinking establishment to watch football. At halftime of the Eagles-49ers game, a "special report" comes on and states that we are at a heightened state of alert for terror. Well, being the big mouth that I am, I just couldn't resist saying that maybe Dean was right, maybe we aren't any safer than we were before we captured Hussein. I honestly thought I was going to have to fight my way out of there for a few minutes, until some people agreed with me. What does all that prove? I'm not real sure except that there are still people out there who will die thinking this invasion was justified. And thats too bad. I guess it also means that I won't be drinking beer in that place anytime soon.

"In exchange for what?"

Hunting down terrorists for one.

Pubbie, the way I see it is this. HS is a dynamic operation still in it's formulation. Mr. Ridge was a big part of it's conception. He is only serving at the request of the President.

Living in rural PA I'll admit that I don't understand the immigration problem as many of you do but I do empathasize.

Once again I'll just say that IMO Mr. Ridge is a good man who is doing his best to serve his president and his country.

Could you suggest some people who would replace him?

Like I said, he has traveled to Israel on business, so the general threat of terrorism doesn't bother him much. He also knows I'll take any excuse to travel to Manhattan. So if he takes the trouble to fly to Vermont (to ski) instead of having me come to him, that's unusual. He specifically stated he wanted to spend as little time in cities as possible. He also doesn't have much reason to ski in Vermont since he lives a couple hours away from most of the best places in the Alps.

Extremely important holiday for Muslims, details on ongoing thread

Thanks, I'll head over there. I've wondered whether they would be more inclined to 'do something' on an important day for us or one of their important days.

"Hunting down terrorists for one."

Vicente sided with France to block the Iraq War. the goverment of Mexico will never control it's border because it profits too much from Human trafficing and Drug Smuggling.

"Could you suggest some people who would replace him?"

James Woolsey? Bernard Kerick (sp?)

all I can say is, if the threat of a WMD attack was imminent, we would have gone to code red. if for anything, to give them a chance to locate the damn things absent everyone driving to work, flying, etc.
