WASHINGTON -- Democrats who have been forming groups to avoid spending restrictions in the campaign finance law may face bad news: The government's new chief election regulator is warning that their activities could be reined in.
Bradley Smith, the Republican chosen yesterday as chairman of the Federal Election Commission, said he believes a recent Supreme Court ruling may require his agency to limit the groups' activities.

That's gonna hurt Moveon.org's pocketbookYep. Money from commie organizations around the world would no longer be acceptable.
Sounds good to me. All funding for US politics should remain in the US. The other nations should not have any say in our elections what so ever. It's none of their business who the American people choose to support.

Would have been nice if this article had mentioned the Moveon.org PAC and other Democrat backers' foreign election contribution funds (they've been removing these from some of the websites but illegal donations have already been accepted). Yes it would be nice .. I'm surprised they even mentioned the money laundering at all

Yes indeed. Enforce the McPain-Findgold Law on these groups.
Wasnt it Abe Lincoln who said the best way to get rid of a bad law was to enforce it rigorously?

Hehehehe. The best way to get bad laws reversed is to rigorously
enforce them.
Side benefit: For years and years the 'Rats have been claiming that the Pubbies are the party of "big money" when if fact they (the 'Rats) are markedly more dependent on the big donors. This controversy will expose that fact to at least a few of the more attentive sheeple.

Don't forget the foreign contributions that MoveOn.org is soliciting to influence our elections.
To: 11th Earl of Mar
Cool...I hope the RATs have already spent the money on their ads against Bush and then have to go scrounging up the money to pay back Soros. Good day for America.
