Thanks, but listen to the words and picture the streets of Tikrit and Baghdad, and soldiers mounting up M1s and Blackhawks. BEAUTIFUL!

"Toby Keith -- Live At Saddam's Palace"
Someday, that's gonna' be one heck of a live album.
(OK, it won't happen, probably wisely so, because of political considerations.
But I can dream!)

What a great idea! You ought to email him that idea!

Well, while we're at it, here is Billy Ray Cyrus' "Some Gave All" (opens in RealPlayer).
I've been informed by one of our freepers that visited at the Walter Reed Army
Medical Center that Billy Ray had played that signature song
in one of the wards...just Billy Ray and his guitar.
I've only heard this once, but I've heard that his series "Doc" routinely
pulls more viewers than what's playing any of the other three "major" networks.

We'll put a boot in your ass. It's the American way!"
Sums things up quite nicely. BTW,I noticed we haven't heard a peep out of that sawed-off little whack job in North Korea
Also the Iranians have said, yea, you (UN) can come in here unannounced any time you want to. Why??? Because saddam is now in jail. The wimp in NK also sees this and is scared. Powerful stuff for the perps.

I suspect that even Dubya would be asking Mr. Keith to hold off on that idea...
until things are really settled down in Iraq and more of our guys and gals are home.
We want to get a bit more solid with our new Iraqi friends so they'd understand that
such a video would be about a well-placed boot for a dictator...not seen as
bravado in defeating the beleagured Iraqi grunt.
But like I said in another post...I can dream!

When Toby Keith was about to record "Beer For My Horses", he asked Willie Nelson if he'd sing on "a" new song of his. Willie said "Maybe, send it over and I'll think about it". Toby said he would and then Willie asked what the name of the song was. When Toby told him it was "Whiskey For My Men, Beer For My Horses", Willie said "You don't have to send it over, I'll sing on THAT one".

There's another AWESOME song -- I've forgotten the artists name -- but it's called "Tough Little Boys" and throughout the whole video they show soldiers looking a pictures of their little girls. Then at the end, the soldiers step off their plane and run to their daughters. I BAWL everytime I see it. Makes me think of my bro coming home to his little girl. Maybe someone could post it to this thread?? I'm pinging a couple of musical FRiends here!

Please extend to your brother my deepest gratitude, StarCMC. RBA, thanks for the link - I enjoyed that (and I love that song, but I cried).

"I'm not a hugh Country Music fan, but the spirit of pride in America, patriotism and God runs in the theme of many of these musicians
(Dixie Chicks are 1) not country and 2) not musicians)"
First, I have to disagree. The Dixie Chicks are (or were, at least before they excommunicated themselves) country AND great musicians. Second, I'll never buy another thing they put out. I vote with my dollars and they suck, patriotically speaking. Third, check out Toby's "Shock 'N Y'all" CD. The cut "American Soldier" is very inspiring to me.

Now I have the siffles. Tay pictured below is now four. She cried for twenty minutes straght after seeing her dad off from a two week R&R. This baby would start crying several minutes before dad was due home from work while he was stationed at Polk. She had her afternoon cuddle timed to the hour.

Why are all the patriotic singers in country music? Sure is a trend!

"Toby Keith -- Live At Saddam's Palace" Would love to see this. Sometimes I'm a little dense and it takes a while for something to connect. Everyone else has probably noticed the similarity of names - Toby's latest cd "Shockin Y'All" and the "Shock and Awe" of the war in Iraq? Little play on words here?

not all are Travis. 3 Doors down's song and video "when I'm gone" was inspired by playing on the ships, and talking to the troops while touring the region. These guys have done alot fot the troops. I wish I still had the link for their video, from the VH-1 site. It's another video that makes ya misty eyed!
