And documented proof of each of these allegations was secretly placed aboard the failed Mars landing probe to ensure that none of the allegations could ever be proven.

So it's only a humiliation when someone
else shaves his beard? Not when he does it himself...as he has been doing for years.
Yeah, what a pious, devout Muslim that Sadaam Hussein is.

The liberals need to find any silver lining which so blackens their sky, any sliver of hope that America can yet be crushed by her enemies.

Wow, this is really stupid. I mean, he rehashes so much stuff that has already been discredited. I mean, dont the leftists have any shame? (he asks rhetorically..)

referring the the fifth amendment of the US constitution under which a person has the right to remain silent until charged in court. When someone misses the point of one of our basic rights, I don't think they are qualified to preach to us about what we are all about.
Note to the author: The fifth amendment allows a person to never be forced to testify against themselves.

Gee ... if the not-so-bright Bush had so carefully planned Saddam's capture, why wouldn't he already have choreographed Saddam's trial?
Would such a tactical error, or misunderestimation of the future, be more indicative of this Bush administration - or Saddam's proclivities?

Wonder if the strong hashish the Asia Times is smoking comes from Afghanistan or Iran or Iraq?

This is perhaps the most vitriolic commentary I've heard yet. I could visualize this guy's neck tendons pulsating like Bruce Springsteen's right before his head popped off, with blackish-green bile spewing around the room. Yes, he needs an exorcist.

If Saddam is tried for specific murders of Iraqis, none of the inter-country relationships, corruptions, politics and conspiracys are relevant in that type of a trial. -Tom

This is a pantload. Sadly, some actually believe it.
They need the industrial strength tin foil. Plain old reynolds wrap ain't getting it anymore.

AlJazeera television has quoted Egyptian writer Sayyid Nassar saying that "by shaving his beard, a symbol of virility in Iraq and in the Arab world, the Americans committed an act that symbolizes humiliation in our region". Revenge could be imminent - and it will pour in avalanches, not from Saddam of course, but from wounded Iraqi and Arab pride. Who does this loser think he's kidding? Saddam never even sported a beard until being driven into his pathetic little spider holes. I think even he dumbest person in the middle east would laugh at this bunch of crap.

Yeah, this is awful. Bush is screwed! We should just release Saddam into the custody of Pepe Escobar so they can continue their love affair.
