As a Republican I am not thrilled with Slobo using Shelton's criticism of Clark in his defense (even though what Shelton said was correct). This event just exemplifies why the leaders in this country should be a little more responsible with their "free-speech." While this particular event was rather benign, it is a great example of how tyrants and dictators will use the very words of our leaders to bolster and support their dispicable bahaviour.

And it is for this reason, that as much as dissent is tolerated in this country, the very accusations leveled at Bush from the Democrats, only play into the hands of our enemies. From the conspiracy theories to the flat-out accusations by Democrats about Bush and Iraq, our enemies are using their words to justify their hatred for this country. Free speech is a great thing; but free speech without accuracy and responsibilty is nothing more than spouting proganda and telling lies. Again, I am not saying that this happened in this case, but it is a perfect example of what is happening in the war on terrorism as Democrats attack Bush. I also wouldn't be surprised to see the media jump all over this.

According to officials in The Hague, Clark cited a conversation in Belgrade in August 1995 in which he asked Milosevic that if he had so much influence over the Bosnian Serbs, why he allowed Ratko Mladic, the Bosnian Serb military commander, to kill so many people at Srebrenica.

"Well, Gen. Clark, I warned him not to do it, but he didn't listen to me, " Clark reportedly quoted Milosevic as saying.

A)  This little tidbit of information lends credibility to the story that Slobo has been telling along.

B) The photo below (Clark and Mladic exchanging covers) was taken a year before Clark had this conversation with Slobo.  Why so chummy Wes?

Clinton and Clarke are war criminals who bombed and killed innocents in Serbia...and there ain't diddly anybody can do about it. Oh yea we can bitch and moan about here... Free speech and all.

Meantime, I can't help but wonder if it will take this long to convict Saddam? Maybe not, since it seems unlike in Serbia, mass graves have been uncovered in Iraq. And also unlike in Serbia, the people of Iraq will prosecute Saddam, and not some bogus international court in the Hague.

The proof is right there. This is akin to the UN bombing Washington DC to give Florida its independence. Illegal, immoral, totally without justification. The fact that Slobo could not even bring this up proves that this is nothing but a Kangaroo Court. Judge Judy is more fair than this.
