"It is someone wearing a Saddam mask," volunteered Waleed Ibrahim, a 25-year-old tire repairman in Fallujah, 30 miles west of Baghdad. "It is a trick to help President Bush get re-elected."<
Doesn't this remind you of the left-wingers from the democRatic party?

Here's an idea that will make everybody feel better. Drag out the prisoner, and have the disbelieving crowd of Saddam supporters file past him, and say to his face, "YOU ARE NOT SADDAM!" Spitting would also be permissible, although striking the prisoner would be prohibited.

Actually, I'm not surprised that they don't believe it. Saddam had grown to mythical proportions. If these people were dying for him, I don't think my psyche would allow me to believe that that pathetic-looking man on TV was Saddam either. In time, it will sink in.

I think the original read as follows:
"It is someone wearing a Saddam mask," volunteered Waleed Ibrahim, a 25-year-old Dean supporter in Fallujah, 30 miles west of Baghdad. "It is a trick to help President Bush get re-elected."
To: JCB
Huh? Were you expecting us to pack up and leave the day after Saddam was captured?

Someone called into Hannity the other day and said it is impossible for a man to grow a beard as long as Saddam's in less than a year. LOL.

Has everyone heard of one the latest Demorat theories floated? It's that Osama (yes, that one)has been in custody for months and will be trotted out in October 2004 to ensure GWB's election. Of course Dr. Dean doesn't believe it but he thinks it's an interesting theory.

"This is terrorism," said Hamed Ali, a shopkeeper, who recounted how jets buzzed the city for most of Monday night. Just because you're terrified doesn't make it terrorism, ace. Terrorism is intentionally targetting non-combatants with violence with the specific intent of breeding fear. If the US unit had rolled into town and mowed your skuzzy butt for no apparent reason, that'd been terrorism.

OK. If they don't believe we really captured him, they shouldn't mind when we string him up. After all, it's just a guy wearing a Saddam mask. Nothing to get worked up about . . .

This is terrorismGreat point cogently made:"Terrorism is intentionally targetting non-combatants." Why is that so hard for leftists and radical muslims to grasp?

Hell, why stop at Saddam's capture? I'm sorry, were we supposed to stop, pack up and go home now that we've caught Saddam? Let them fend for themselves? Let whatever radicalist/extremist neanderthal that wishes come in and take charge while we sit back on our hands?

They're projecting from their OWN experience. Madeline Albright admitted that the Clinton strategy on Iraq was to keep it at a low boil, so they could pull it out into the news to distract from domestic issues when needed.
Think about it - if Bush was really as machiavellian as the Dems claim, Hillary's flight back from Iraq would have ended in the Atlantic...technical difficulties etc.

It is sad when people choose to believe in something that is hopelessly, pathetically wrong. When the truth is irrevocably revealed, they will say and think almost anything to prevent the realization that their entire lives have been based on a lie.
BTW, did you catch Mad Madeliene's statement that Bush has Osama in custody, and is holding him to be released as an "October Suprise"? Or how about Howard (The Duck) Dean, saying Bush was warned in advance about 9/11?
