Reality check...Duranty got the Pulitzer because he sucked up to Uncle Joe and covered up the famine. The ones who reported the truth were probably castigated by the likes of the Commies at the NYT!
I would like to see this thoroughly investigated...not to prove that Duranty did the dirty deed and should get the Pulitzer revoked but that Sulzberger et al probably had influence over getting the PP for Duranty to cover up the truth about the Ukraine and over shadow the real reporters. I smell Commie scandal.

"Whoever funded it has spent a good deal of money," Klatell says.
Ahh.. the Liberal mind.
Any dissent against one of their own MUST be funded for it cannot be of it's own accord.

If Walter Duranty gets to keep his Pulitzer after Janet Cooke had to give hers back, that proves that the people in charge of the award are racist and sexist.

"sincere enthusiasts trying to regenerate a people who had been shockingly misgoverned." Ha! Only misgovern was War Communism during Civil War.

The lies, the international socialist agenda: they do begin early at the Times, don't they?

I don't want the award returned. I know this goes against the grain but I like the idea of it hanging there in the NYT hallway as a permanent indictment of Duranty, the Times and the Pulitzers.
