Reality check...Duranty got the Pulitzer because he sucked up to Uncle Joe and covered up the famine. The ones who reported the truth were probably castigated by the likes of the Commies at the NYT!

I would like to see this thoroughly investigated...not to prove that Duranty did the dirty deed and should get the Pulitzer revoked but that Sulzberger et al probably had influence over getting the PP for Duranty to cover up the truth about the Ukraine and over shadow the real reporters. I smell Commie scandal.

I've not had a chance to research this, but I think I've read that there were allegations
that Duranty was bribed and/or blackmailed by Stalin...in otherwords, "compromised".

Ukraine was but one part of famine to destroy the Kulak class...whole class BS made up by Bolshaviks. In Russia 7 million die, in Ukraine 5 million in Belaruss 2 million. Not sure Khazakstan.
