Yeah, I think it was Cosell. Actually, those were the good movies in those days. "Take the Money and Run" was hilarious.
"Annie Hall" was okay and a few others. But I started getting bored with his films after the late 1980's and my wife just hates him even though she liked "Purple Rose of Cairo".
He's an acquired taste.

Do not believe for one second any rumors you may have heard that Dan Rather required gerbil removal surgery last April. So are you saying it wasn't removed?

In some respects, Iraqis keep telling us life is not as stable for them as it was when Saddam Hussein was in power."This is not unlike the comments about Hitler and Mussolini before WWII- Hitler brought stability to Germany and Mussolini made the trains run on time. Peter just reflects the stupidity of the left.

I think you mean Howard Cosell. Allen is shown a clip of Cosell, and told by his debriefer, "the best we can figure is that, for those convicted of particularly heinous crimes, listening to this man was devised as a form of punishment." Allen deadpans: "Yeah, that's exactly it.""
You brought me back to the 1970's when I used to turn off the sound while watching football.
I hope he is kept silent, in the "here-after", as he was the most annoying announcer I have ever heard.

In my opinion, while the coverage remained live on Sunday, say from 6AM until noon EST, the reporting remained mostly positive. However, after the live coverage ended at around noon, the anchors had time to go into their offices and read their faxes from the DNC, and the coverage started to turn. By 6PM, the spin was clearly turned on, the negative tone was easily perceived, and the common "talking points" were heard.

Exodus 16:2-3:
In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron. The Israelites said to them, "If only we had died by the Lord's hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death."
Some of the Iraqis could be descended from the Ten Lost Tribes.
