To: Kirkwood
I am happy, President Bush is showing his usual strength and character...... but disgusted at the lack of respect she's showing.

I am just sitting here shaking my head. And you're right - this interview just increased my level of support for President Bush..not that it was low to begin with. The media probably loves this interview and considers it "fair and balanced". The average American will watch this and think "boy, is she a nasty, disrespectful witch."

He needs to calm down I disagree, people like President Bush because he is a regualr guy. Regular guys suffer fools only to a certain point and then they hit back. It accrues to his credit with the middle and the right. As for the left WGAS.
Thats my take any way.

How 'bout Derrick Jackson? or Helen Thomas?

Saddam HAD chemical weapons! The UN recorded them. He used them on his own people in Halabja for goodness' sake. The whole point of the UN inspections was for him to demonstrate that he had destroyed, or was in the process of destroying, those weapons (primarily chemical) that the UN had recorded. He was ordered under UN mandate to show how he had destroyed them. He did not do that. He thwarted the UN investigators to the extent that they gave up during Clinton's presidency because it was a waste of time. Only under Bush were the instections re-instated. Saddam continued to thwart those investigations. SAWYER CAN'T CLAIM THAT THEY NEVER EXISTED. That's just stupid. The question is "where are they?" They existed. If we can't find them, then they must be hidden or dispersed for he failed to prove their destruction.

He said that in a democracy the end result of an election is in the peoples hands. He said this in response to DS' question: "Do you think you are unbeatable?" He said he knew he was going to vote for... but not who he was running against since he didn't know the competitor. Hope this helps.
