From the Saudi's I found this:
http://www.ain-al-yaqeen.com/issues/20031212/feat8en.htm Saad Mohammed Al-Duri was captured near Hawijah, 45 kilometres (28 miles) west of Kirkuk as rumours flew that his boss, Izzat Ibrahim al-Duri, had been arrested or even killed. Hawijah police chief Awad Al-Obeidi said the man was arrested in a house where he had been hiding.
Kirkuk's police chief, General Turhan Yusef, said 40,000 dollars was found in the man's possession, which was ''suspected of being used to finance attacks on the US-led coalition.'' Across north-central Iraq, more than 100 people were nabbed in what Yusef decribed as a ''one-off operation aimed at finding Izzat Ibrahim based on specific intelligence.''
An official of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, the dominant Kurdish faction in Kirkuk, said a former general in the disbanded Iraqi army was also arrested in the raids, as was Hamid Saad, a senior official of Saddam's former ruling Baath party in charge of youth and student affairs.
Earlier, a senior police official in Kirkuk said US military had launched ''the biggest search operation ever'' in the area to hunt for Duri, the suspected paymaster of many attacks on the coalition. The operation was concentrated on Hawijah and the village of Rashad, 60 kilometers (37 miles) to the south, he added.

DNC talking points:
Even if we do capture Izzat the attacks on our troops will continue.
Attacking terrorists just makes them madder at us.
Even if we kill all the terrorists, the rest of the world will be mad at us for not being more empathetic.
We need more internationalism.
Only a democRAT can lead us out of this quagmire.
Bush is a miserable failure, the economy stinks, the AARP is a bunch of traitors, dont question my patriotism, tax the rich, homo marriages and lets see, what did I forget, oh yea, death to the fetus!

[Gen Richard ]Myers cast doubt on regional news reports about the arrest of Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, who is the highest-ranking member of Saddam's former regime still at large and is thought to be organizing anti-U.S. attacks.
"We heard the same thing. We chased that down. We are not aware that has taken place," he said.

This can't be true.
Didn't Hilliary just tell us a few weeks ago that the outcome of all this was uncertain?
Didn't she just try to tell the troops that they might, just might, be unsuccessful?
Isn't she the smartest woman in the world?
I'm so confused...NOT!
