George Bush, the Republican Congress and Democratic politicians are playing political games with illegal immigration. And it could cost you and your family your lives.
By now, you know how craven politicians are when it comes up to grabbing Hispanic votes. They cynically believe that minority voters in border states are going to like them a lot more if they reward Mexicans for breaking American laws. We have told you about how California, and maybe even your state, wants to give illegal immigrants their own driver's licenses.
And even that crass move makes us all less safe in those post-9/11 world. Last Thursday, we reported how Congress wants to give illegal immigrants Social Security checks when they return back to Mexico, even though the Social Security system is going to be bankrupt in the next 10 years.

Yes, we are being screwed from the left AND the right.
When there are only two major parties, it's easy for them to do it.

Giving our Social Security program over to Mexico makes no sense at all ---- unless Bush will provide us an opt-out choice and reimburse us at least part of what we put in. I'm for doing away with the Social Security program ---- and allowing every Mexican who might claim to have used a stolen Social Security number for 18 months to claim a monthly check the rest of their lives will definitely kill off the program. For one --- there would be no way to prevent massive fraud in the claims, nothing would stop someone from setting up four or five fake identities each making their own claim.

Bush danced around this issue/question today...
"I am against blanket amnesty..." thats what I heard him say today...
But just before that he stated to the effect that he would like to be able to better define an immigration policy which works with both sides of the issue, with corporate/private business interests, and the immigrants that are effected by an immigration policy...
I think I would just be happy that we have a policy that simply enforces the laws that are on the books...Just start cracking down on the illegal immigrant traffic coming across the border...Seems simple enough to me...
But hey, I have not been elected King for a day yet...
I wonder what the hold up is???
Later,
Steve

You are totally right about the massive fraud. It is coming our way quickly.
I believe it is illegal to claim a dependent from Mexico on your income tax. I have heard more than one person say they claim their grandparents from Mexico and besides how will the IRS know? Nice $8,000 deduction.

If the Mexican newspapers are correct, Bush and Fox will be meeting in January. They will possibly discuss how many more illegals the country needs. Probably on the agenda will be the health care of the illegals, welfare and anything else they think the American taxpayer is so stupid to pay.

When will Republicans figure out that they are gaining ZERO votes by pandering to the illegal lobby. Illegal immigration is exactly like partial-birth abortion. Sealing the border and exporting illegal is supported by a majority (a majority big enough to win a lot of elections.) It is supported by rich and poor, register Rep and registerd Dem. Only the special interest groups oppose these measures. The GOP just has to have the courage to face down the Liberal Media Firewall and take the issue to the people. If they don't do it a populist candidate like Perot will cost them their control again.

No offense intended to the Cons, but they're not quite 'major' in my book....yet.
They are geting more and more room on the right, tho, as the Pubbies drift away from it.

I hope you realize that your use of 'Cons' for the Constitution Party is offensive to current and former prison inmates ;-)

Yeah, but those (inmates) are on the left, anyway, so I'm not too concerned about offending them!
