While publicly obviously don't admit it, I think all the Dem candidates are deeply saddened. :)

Two entities are deeply saddened -- the Baathists, and the DNC.

They are working on devouring each other and their supporters are getting hateful with one another about it. Their party is fiercely divided. If Dean wins the "conservative" members of their party will sadly fall in behind him. If Dean loses, the Dean supporters are likely to protest the convention, storm out, spit on the nominee, or....frankly.....do about anything obnoxious.
Not pretty.

For every vote that Dizzy Dean picks up by appearing to moderate his position on the war, he'll lose ten of his bloody-eyed Bush-hating supporters.

What Saddam's capture means for the 2004 race and the Democratic contenders. Hint: It's bad for Howard Dean. No, it's good for Dean because it came fully 11 months before the election. Dean's an underdog, but Barnes is being a little overconfident.

Count me greedy, but now I want Sadaam caught, or confirmed dead, more than ever.

LIEberman spoke the truth in measured statements today. If I hear Dean say idear one more time, I'll be forced to vote him in as county supervisor of gay marraiges in Massachusets.

"Two entities are deeply saddened -- the Baathists, and the DNC." Make that three -- the Baathists, the DNC and the "mainstream" media.
The latter wallowed in their disappointment all day long...

I think you mean Bin Laden -- as we just captured Saddam. :)
Don't worry -- all in good time.

Ya know, I don't think this is neccessarily true. There are some moderate to conservative democrats out there that see exactly what's going on in the Democratic Party...and they don't like it. While these liberal voices our the loudest, I'm seeing some distress among the blue-collar, church-going, family oriented labor types. This could be the second coming of the Reagan Democrats, as they attempt to take back their party by exercizing these Leftist demons...at least I hope so.

Foot-in-mouth has struck me again. Yes of course, I meant that I want Osama dead or alive even more than ever.

Messrs. Kerry & Lieberman are going to beat Howard Dean about the head with Iraq.
I suspect a lot has changed overnight in the Democrat Party standings.
Although, in the long run, I doubt it makes a bit of difference. If Dean had been nominated, he would have won one to five states; whoever is nominated now will be lucky to match that.
It's hard to argue with success.

Not particularly good for any of the Demos, but I think the one that will be hurt the most form this is Clark, not Dean. Dean looks a bit stupid today, but Clark is hte one running the constant ads every day talking about how he is needed to 'clean up the mess in Iraq'. Well, the mess appears to be a lot less of an issue now, or at least the most visible part of the mess is removed.
