SADDAM Hussein was no longer in Iraq, the US television network CBS reported today, citing unidentified military sources.
A CBS News correspondent in Saddam's northern Iraq hometown of Tikrit, near where Saddam was captured yesterday, said he had learned from military sources that the former Iraqi president was no longer in the country.
US Lieutenant General Ricardo Sanchez, the top US military commander in Iraq, said in Baghdad that Saddam "is currently under coalition custody and at an undisclosed location".

Unconfirmed reports have him being moved to San Francisco where the expectation is that after a few weeks there he'll be so wierded out that he will confess to anything.Are there spider holes in SF?

The things that this guy can tell us! The french and the germans have been dreading this moment. What embarrassing revelations can he be induced to reveal? He'll be falling all over himself telling us things to avoid being handed over to the Iraqis.
Wherever he is, his new home is more comfortable than a spider hole, and a lot more comfortable than a firing squad. I think he'll cooperate real nice.

I've said this for hours. I'm surprised it took them this long to report it. Hehehehe

" It would be great for Dubya politically if he pointed us to stashes of WMDs. "
====
The political aspect is the least of it. As long as the WMD are unaccounted for, the terrorists could get them, or if they are hidden in Syrian, they could use them.
We need to find them to prevent them from being used.

I think, that the report that he is no longer in Iraq is more belivable. It wouldn't make sense to keep him, where his Fedayeen would try to free him.
